Suggestions
There are alot of roads that unexpectly just end in the middle of nowhere for no reason, while at the same time there are often other roads in close area to which they could be connected.

It seemed people started building roads all over the place and just stopped at any time because they got bored building them at that place.

This makes driving on the map not the most pleasant experience, as you feel like being in a labyrinth, were you always have to turn back and try another route or have to check the map constantly to see if the next road will lead to anywhere.

Connecting more of the roads which mostly already have another road nearby and removing some of the ones that lead to nowhere for no apparent reason would be imho a good improvement for a terrain, which beside this issue doesn't offer much to complain about.

We used government data that included walking trails to generate the roads, which is why some of them may look a bit strange.

I tried to prune some of them before the public release, but perhaps I should have another look.

Interesting, however i could still not believe that there are even so many walking trails that end in nowhere.

So i got curious and checked out the map of the real place.

If you just look at the map, then it basically looks pretty much like in your terrain. However i checked some of the walking trails that seem to just end in nowhere and it was not hard to find cases where the satellite images actually show that the trails continue at places where the map show that they don't.

So it would not even be against the spiriot of the original place if you had more trails connected then the official data show

I appreciate how you fixed the RUK field, and I have further ideas for the same Valkjärvi region.

  • The real RUK field is surrounded by tall pine trees with hardly any bushes. This gives the area quite a distinctive look. A YouTube video called "masirider" was filmed on the field. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sD1BY9f_9eU

  • South of the field we have the "main" dirt road, and then the straight bit of dirt road, which sort of continues across the paved road. There could be tall birch trees along the straight dirt bit, on both sides, with regular spacing between the trees.

  • In grid 046106 there is a sauna an two other buildings. The sauna could be "Wooden House (Small, v10)", with the door facing towards the lake. There is also a straight wooden dock in front of it, as the in-game satellite image suggests. North-north-east from the sauna we have a long wooden house, almost right on the "32" mark on top of the hill. "Health Center" looks similar, as long as the wall with "medica" sign faces bearing 345 or so (so that the door in that wall is almost towards the road). The third building on the grid is pretty much a "Military Cargo HQ (green)", with the front door facing towards the "Health Center". It is located some 30 meters west from the clinic, right between the lone spruce tree and the forest. The in-game satellite image can help pin-point the exact positions.

  • The most peculiar place in this region is located on the dirt field withing grids 048102 and 048103. This area contains six houses of various types made out of cargo containers, but for now just adding a "Wooden Shed (Big)" on top of the dark square in the south-western corner of the field, with the door facing south, would be the best solution.

Thank you for making this map, it really adds something to the game. At least if you live close to the region.

Finland has a lot of roads that facilitate forestry. The roads are used to access the area for logging and other related activities. They usually end in the middle of someones patch of land.

Hey, I think that something that could be welcome to this map would be a few Military Areas (with fortifications, barracks, logistics, and everything logical to see from an official armed force), and maybe even some few Castles.

The castles could be either in a ruin state, or not in ruin state.
And anyways, you have CUP's castle assets (mod has dependency on CUP terrains), ArmA 3 castle assets (but most of them are hidden in EDEN), and APEX's fortresses... might as well use them, right?
