I can probably help some. I have a minor in Japanese language, spent two study abroad programs in Japan, and started learning in 1999.

@missnebulosity, Thanks for the offer! I don't know why, but Japanese isn't supported by Paradox. However a short while ago I was contacted by a volunteer from Japan who made a "Translation Mod" which replaces English with Japanese, which is a great workaround. This is a link to it:
