Really Real Company Names
 This topic has been pinned, so it's probably important
ShebukaTTV  [developer] 3 Dec, 2018 @ 5:12am
Suggestions for real companies
Here you can post any suggestion on what real company is a better fit to what in-game company.

Consider both where the company operates (warehouse locations) and what type of cargo it is offering and accepting.
  • A UK operating company is not a good fit for Italia DLC company;
  • Small adjustments can be made to what cargo it is offering and accepting.

For a forest company, I was looking into these two major candidates: Stora Enso and SCA.

  • Stora Enso[en.wikipedia.org]
    • it's one of the oldest companies;
    • produce all type of Wood, Pulp, Paper and Packaging;
    • it operates in all of Europe, has 20,200 total employees in European countries:
      Finland 6,600
      Sweden 5,000
      Germany 1,700
      Poland 1,900
      Russia 1,100
      Other European countries 3,900
    • it was 5th in global PwC Top 100 as of 2015.
    • € 10.045 million revenue as of 2017

  • SCA[en.wikipedia.org]
    • it operates in all of Europe;
    • produce all type of Wood, Pulp, Paper and Packaging;
    • has 2 terminals in Sweden, 1 in Rotterdam, 1 in London, 1 in Kiel and a number of associated terminal across Europe;
    • it was 3rd in global PwC Top 100 as of 2015.
    • SEK 16.664 million revenue as of 2017

And there is also UPM-Kymmene[en.wikipedia.org] that on paper (pun intended) is like the best choice, but I still need to look into it.

DLC Beyond the Baltic Sea (for Russia)
at the moment the game includes only region Kaliningrad Oblast (the capital is Kaliningrad) region Leningrad Oblast (the capital is St. Petersburg) and the region Pskov Oblast (the capital is Pskov).

Offered firms:
- now Финские шины , offered Nokian Tyres

https://www.nokiantyres.com/ and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nokian_Tyres

Interests of the company in Russia is represented by LLC “Nokian Shina”. In September 2005, a plant with a capacity of 8 million tires per year was opened in the city of Vsevolozhsk, Leningrad Oblast, and investments in the opening amounted to about 400 million euros.
Nokian produces approximately 6,000 tyres daily and employs 510 employees at its factory in Vsevolozhsk, Russia near Saint Petersburg, and plans to increase manufacturing capacity to 10 million tyres annually by 2011.[60][67] The factory was established in 2005.[60] In 2006, it expanded its facilities there, adding a mixing department and a 19,000-square-metre (200,000 sq ft) warehouse capable of housing 600,000 tyres. The new mixing department gives the factory the capability to produce rubber compounds on-site instead of importing them from the factory in Nokia, Finland. The Vsevolozhsk factory manufactures Nokian-branded car tyres, the majority of which are sold in Russia and countries of the former USSR.[68] Nokian plans to build 300 housing units and sell them to employees at cost as part of the Russian factory expansion that was scheduled to be completed by 2011

The company employs about 1,100 gas stations in Russia under the Gazpromneft trademark (unlike the name of the company, the gas station brand is written as one word). In total, the company's retail network includes more than 1,600 petrol stations, including in Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Ukraine and Serbia (under the NIS brand). According to a study by Romir Holding, the Gazpromneft brand is one of the three leading gas station brands in Russia. In April 2011, he received the “Brand of the Year / Effie” award. In 2013, G-Drive and G-Energy's own fuel brands also received this award. Nielsen, a global information measuring company, named Gazpromneft and G-Drive one of the three most popular brands in its categories.

I was thinking that NS Chemical (and NS Oil, but to change it I need a modified sign and billboard prefab...) was a perfect fit for Lukoil, it even has the same "oil drop" symbol in its name. What do you think?

In addition, in principle, to reduce the amount of work, you can use the existing hypermarkets located also in Europe (well, already manufactured and used). In Russia, hypermarket Auchan and METRO Cash & Carry is widely represented (and loved by the people).
Although of course, using a truly Russian hypermarket would be more atmospheric and realistic.

Russia has three of the most powerful oil companies: Rosneft, Lukoil, Gazpromneft. Rosneft is the largest of them. The main activity of Rosneft is just the extraction and processing of oil. Although it is the largest oil company in the world, it has a not-so-large retail network of gas stations like Lukoil, Gazpromneft.

Rosneft was founded in 1993 as a state enterprise and later incorporated in 1995, acquiring a number of state-controlled gas and oil assets. Rosneft became Russia's leading oil company after purchasing assets of former oil company Yukos at state-run auctions. After acquiring OJSC TNK-BP in 2013, then-one of the largest oil companies of Russia, Rosneft became the world's largest publicly-traded petroleum company.

You decide to use the name Lukoil or add Rosneft for oil refining. It all depends on your free time. I agree on both.

Offered firms:
- now БЛТ , offered Магнит (in latin "Magnit")

The company has 37 distribution centers. Magnit has more than 5.9 thousand MAN, Mercedes-Benz and Renault trucks at its disposal.

Efficient delivery of products to stores is possible thanks to a powerful logistics system. For better storage of goods and optimization of their delivery to retail outlets, the company has created a distribution network, including 37 distribution centers and 36 road transport enterprises. Timely delivery of products to all retail stores allows you to implement your own fleet, which has about 6,000 vehicles. In addition, the Magnit retail chain is the largest private employer in Russia. The total number of employees is more than 270,000 people. The company has repeatedly been awarded the title "Attractive Employer of the Year."
