game will not progress after discovering mathematics
I have tried everything, spying to get math and avoiding it and whenever a needed production has to be chosen after discovering the game will not allow me to advance

Just found a fix. If you click on your city, then go to the purchase with gold/faith, there's a button in the bottom left that will switch the screen to production based, and you can choose production from there.

I tried that it still won't let me choose production
