Description
Are you disappointed in the carriers of this game? Do you wish their power reflected the fact that they are the most expensive type of ship and have the highest level requirement? If so, then this is the mod for you.
Before you hit the back button, read over what I actually did besides annoy you with my pitiful sales pitch ;D

First up, Shielding: I have added 10 to 15 thousand shield strength across the board, and increased the shield regeneration by between 1.3 and 1.5 times its original value as well.

Next: weapons. I am not good with graphic design, so I could not do anything about the number or placement of weapons. That did not stop me from adding about 30% to the energy reserves for the weapons, and increasing the energy regen for them by a similar amount to what I did for the shields.

Furthermore, I added cloaks to a few of the carriers. Not all of them: at the time I created this mod, some factions had cloaks on some of their ships, and some do not have cloaks on ANY of their ships. Under that rationale, what sense would it make to give their carriers one.
However, these cloaks are now vestigial. Since the release of additional classes, cloaks from all ships have been removed. If you think that the cloak should be removed from this mod to follow the example of the rest of the game, please post as such.

As a result of a issue with the game where the maximum fighter group size cannot exceed 5 (and still be mounted on any ship like normal), I have left the standard fighter group as it is in the vanilla game but I have increased the number of fighters that the Carrier Familiarity perk gives to make up the difference so that you can still have the 25-ish fighter group wings while playing carrier.

Other minor changes: I have slightly increased the cargo capacity of each carrier. The increase generally does not exceed an additional 100. In accordance with these major buffs with the carriers, I have also increased their price tags. The one's with cloaks are now in the 85-95 million price bracket, while the ones without are about 80 million. I added a slight increase to evasion, soak, and maneuverability , but it is not really noticeable, and for the sake of fairness, the carriers without the cloaks get a larger buff in these two areas than the ones with cloaks.

Lastly, in response to danijel's quote about the Assassin bomber "We haven't yet come to fighters so it's possible the fighter in question might even get completely dropped from the game," I have decided to save it from the possibility of extinction and included it in the mod. I have also made it available for purchase at (as far as I know) every station... for a considerably higher price than any other fighter currently in the game to go with its high speed/maneuverability and impressive damage states. I have also made the LUPUS and CANIS available for purchase as well (with the increased price-tags also).


Sidenote:
A known bug is suffering from a sudden loss of your rear shields after launching fighters during combat while playing a carrier. This is due to the fighters launching their heavy weapons and trying to attack the enemy even though you are in the way. Please post it in either the bugs and tech support discussion category or use the support button on the game launcher.

P.S.
Feel free to post any feedback you have. Anything from bugs not covered to suggestions for better balancing. For instance, some fighters use heavy weapons. Do you guys think I should decrease their ammo capacity? And about the cloaks, now that there is a player class that has a skill for cloaking, should I leave the ship based cloaks in or take them out so that the Marauder class is not overshadowed?

Having started college recently, it has become clear that I will not always be able to keep on top of the bugs and maintenance on this mod. I am willing to make up to 5 individuals co-authors of this (and my other) mod(s) so that if I do not keep on top of the updates, they can use their own versions of the mod to push through any fixes they come up with. Post in the main discussion thread if you would be willing to take this responsibility.

Yea upon looking at the Titans patch, the only ship missing is Prosperity, and I'd argue the ole' girl needs this patch given her overall weakness in combat.

UPDATE: My theory has been proven correct! The Cavalier works just fine, even on the Numibia storyline!

This means all that needs doing is the ships have to be updated to have all 9 carriers supported, this may even apply to the Titans patch. I hope this helps. :)

Considering the fact all the ships can be added to all stations and planets for purchase via notepad, all 9 carriers should probably be supported in the mod.

Looking at the Ships.wdt file in Starpoint Gemini Warlords\Mods\CarriersReduxed\Data\Base further cements this as the likely culprit as to why this mod may or may not work in some cases.

Missed ships seems to be the problem.

So far the ship files you edited are located at:

And the only carriers you modifed are these:

Tzar
Borealis
Cavalier
Korkyra_Premonition
And Outlaw_Asgard.

However, there are acouple more carriers in the game, all of which can be found here:

So far you have 5 out of 9 carriers added, the Aranos for example is a Numibian ship and is the carrier I am currently testing. Low and behold it does not have the large fighter wings. I will do a test with the Tzar in a little bit to see if my theory holds, and if it works then this should be a simple issue to update.

This could also be the culrpit for the last issue as well. There may be carriers that you simply missed or forgot to modify.

After some digging and comparing your mod files to the regular game files, I discovered that the Numibia carrier is not included within the mod itself, seems you might've missed some ships bud.

I still never tested Concordia itself, but I may.
