Description
Mountain Ash by MrMaison

Introducing the first in my Eucalyptus series, the Mountain Ash aka Eucalyptus Regnans aka Swamp Gum or Stringy Gum.
This species is native to Tasmania and southeastern Australia. It's the tallest flowering plant and one of the tallest trees in the world.
I plan on making another version at the max height nearing 100 meters but that will only be useful in the wilderness of our maps.

More info here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eucalyptus_regnans

UPDATE 8/24/2016 I thought the leaves were too dark so I brightened them up a little.

STATS:
2,515 tris 1024 texture

Get "Tree LOD Fix" by TPB for better LODs in the distance http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1349895184&tscn=1522639011

As usual, I strongly suggest Boformer's Random Tree Rotation mod
http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=556784825

Another suggestion is to use LOD Toggler for screenshots as this tree looks much better at LOD distance http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=561888259

Also BloodyPenguin's No Radioactive Mod http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=666425898
And Prop and Tree Anarchy http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=593588108

Sharp Textures mod really makes a difference in how the foliage looks in game http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=793176674

Great to see these trees. Here in Northeast U.S.A. Ash trees are being wiped out on a massive scale by the invasive Emerald Ash Bore insectr. It's a serious epidemic because Ash trees make up 15% of our forests. Well, at least I can still see them alive in Cities Skylines

@ash- I'm in the process of making tree giants ;) Looks like a Mountain Ash 2.0 will be among them.

Beautiful trees, the trunk textures are really accurate! Just one suggestion, the models are actually not quite large enough! I live in eastern Melbourne near the Dangenong ranges where these trees grow natively and they are commonly 70 to 80 + metres tall. They are just enormous trees and can rival Californian redwoods in height. Maybe scaling them up about 10-15 percent would be great.

Timber framed houses in Victoria are built using timber from these trees. Tall and straight.

I disagree. The author should write in whichever dialect they are comfortable with. There are plenty of Australian assets made by Australians you can go to if you're not comfortable with American English. In any case, you won't see any of that in the game once you've loaded this asset.

Agreed that since this is Australian the English should be Australian also. :)

Thousands of these were burnt in the black saturday fires in Victoria (only Victorians would know that)

God these are beautiful trees! Never seen these before. I haven't even played with them in the game yet.
