Tilled Soil

Description
About
Since the beginning of civilisation the human race has been tilling soil to bring vital nutrients to the surface when planting crops. With this mod humanity in the year 5500 can too!

This mod adds a new flooring; tilled soil, which is a buildable version of soil, with 200% fertility.

In addition it adds research for terrain rehabilitation allowing you to build dirt onto smooth stone and other natural floor types so you can build underground greenhouses.

FAQ
Q: Is this mod overpowered?
A: No.

Q: But, it allows you to build soil with 200% fertility, which isn't realistic. I'm looking for a mod that adds soil with 101% ferility to satisfy my dreams of being a real farmer. I don't want crop growth to be sped up by any noticable amount.
A: That isn't a question. The goal of this mod is to provide a method of more compact farming and the ability to construct terrain with artificial fertility. As a user of my own mod I can say this mod achieves that.

Q: Is this mod ever going to change to suit my specific ideas about tilled soil?
A: No.

Can't use the "Remove Floor" selection to get rid of the tilted soil flooring?

@Macho Man it's considered a flooring that you have to put down before sowing the plants. Once down it's there forever though.

I'm sorry for the stupid question but how do you actually change soil in game? I'm looking everywhere and I can't find it

I'm not sure if it's this mod or I happen to have another that adds tilled soil but it seems to use the construction skill instead of the plants skill but the person with plants priority is the one that tries to do the work.

Open RimWorld; click on Mods; select the mod; click "Advanced..."; click "Open folder"; a folder with the mod will open, open the 1.5 folder (or whichever version you're using); open the "Defs" folder; open the "TerrainDefs" file with anything that can read text files; find a line that says '<fertility> assigned to GT_SoilTilled, which should be set at 2.0 (200%); set whatever number you want (example: 125% fertility is 1.25)'; save.

A while ago I discovered some npc buildings (camps for missions etc.) spawn with a tilled soil floor. Does this still occur?

I had vanilla plants expanded installed which allow me to farm grass which I plant it with in the animal fence, but it sees like the tamed animals won't sleep on the tilled soil and idk whether is this a bug or feature. I had not encounter such issue with scar's basic farming which doing basically the same thing but that mod require to make extra item to do what this mod does, for free.

Is it possible to add a slider so fertility % can be adjusted?

Anyone know mod for Fertility Sensitivity or research to change it? I'm fed up with 200% soil but too damn slow growth due to Fertility Sensitivity.

Completely agree with StrangerJona. Love the mod idea and look but 200% fertility for absolutely free is definitely overpowered. It costs nothing at all, has barely any work, and has no research behind it. You can start the game with nothing at all in a harsh environment and have an instant 200% fertility.
