Forest Gods

Omschrijving
The old stories say that something powerful lurks in the darkest depths of the forest. The settlements that worship nature will pray to those creatures; for good weather, for a bountiful harvest, but mostly for their gods to leave them alone. Superstitious hunters will leave offerings before venturing into the wilds. There are countless warnings about the dangers of the forest, promising ruin to any who would anger those powers.

And you’re just going to ignore them all, aren’t you?

This mod adds new anomalies to discover, kill, and be killed by. Powerful tools await those that succeed in bringing down a god. Destruction awaits those that embark unprepared. Are you ready to challenge the forest?

Warning

It's just me testing this mod. I have a test colony and I ran through all the workflows... a lot... so many times... but there's always a chance I missed something. From previous mods I've made with a lot of complexity, the first week usually has some bugs pop up, but they've all been fixable pretty quickly. Just help me out with bug reports.

The same goes for balance. I wanted to make some tough combat situations, not solely through mechanics like the mechanoid bosses, but through sheer damage output and health pools. I wanted to make the rewards really worth it. My test colony died many many times until I felt it was close to right, but let me know if your experience is different and I can tweak things.

Features

A new event where a beautiful white stag is spotted near your colony.

A new ritual that allows you to anger the forest and bring forth a god.

A mysterious stranger that seeks refuge in your colony. They seem to have encountered a god…

Powerful new abilities for your colonists to gain.

New anomalies to discover, fight, and be killed by.

Compatibility

This mod can be added to existing saves.

This mod cannot be removed from existing saves. The really dangerous stuff is optional though so you can ignore it if you change your mind later.

Issues

If there's an issue just follow standard bug reporting procedures. Send me a log and a description of what was going on when the error happened. Ex: did a blood rain happen while a god was on the map?

The more information you can give me, the more likely I'll be able to figure out how to recreate it and fix it. If I can't do that... then you're stuck with the bug, sorry. Help me help you.

Future Plans

You might be able to convince me to add more to this.

Could you add compatibility between your mod and Resplice: Core, so that the psychic abilities of this mod could be gained as genes?

Idk how kite or tank gods without full improved ghoul.
I kill forest and bear gods with 6 charge lance and 1 ghoul(was close to death)
Also need to remove god's loot from the pool of orbital exotic traders.
