Arc Furnace System Locator +

Description
Trouble figuring out the best system to build your Arc Furnace or Dyson Swarm in while playing Stellaris: The Machine Age? This mod will help!

Mod Effects:
Adds an "Ideal System Locator" decision to your capital planet once you've unlocked the ability to build one of the supported megastructures or starbase buildings. This creates an event pop-up with options to search for the following:
  • Minor Megastructure Notification Settings: Options to enable notifications for when you build/upgrade a Hyper Relay, Arc Furnace, or Dyson Swarm
  • Arc Furnace: The top 5 systems you own which will get the most deposits added if you build an Arc Furnace in them.
  • Dyson Swarm: Up to 7 stars with the largest energy or research deposits for a Dyson Swarm, plus the star with the largest deposit of each other resource if you own a star with it. (Note: Due to scripting limitations, this function is only capable of evaluating deposits that exist in the base game. If you're running a mod that adds larger star deposits, it won't see them.)
  • Central Habitat Complex: Up to 10 systems which will get the most orbitals of various types if you build a habitat in them.
  • Nanite Harvester: The top 5 systems you own which will get the most deposits added if you build a Nanite Harvester in them. (Note that this is not necessarily the same as the ones that will produce the most nanites/ships when they reach full potential.)
  • Ice Mining Station: The top 5 systems you own which will support the most Expand Planetary Sea decisions if you build an Ice Mining Station in them.
  • Quantum Catapult: The 5 systems you own closest to your capital that you can build a Quantum Catapult in.

Exactly which system is the best may still partially depend on what deposits they already have, but this makes finding your top contenders much easier.

This mod is a simple quality-of-life utility with no gameplay changes or script overwrites, so it should be compatible with all other mods (unless they change how any of these structures work). It can also be safely added to, or removed from, ongoing games.

This mod is not achievement-compatible.

How should I implement Nanite Harvester system search?

When I go to load up the mod, I get a warning that the mod is made for another version of the game. Will that cause issues with my saves?

Underrated mod lol

Such a shame that something like this has not been implemented by paradox. Not that hard for them to add an extra page to the expansion planner with a spreadsheet that filters like the biggest 20-30 systems for each within your territory.
Thank you for the mod!
How I wish that Stellaris would go the path of ck3 and allow mods generally without disabling achievements.

Thank you for your work. This is a must have mod for me. Working fine in v3.14 Circinus.

i really wish this base in the base game, in fact it should be a thing for all megastructures that have requirements.

I posted about the Tidal Locked thing some months ago. Having played some more, I still feel like it'd be useful to have an automated way to find eligible planets, especially since they can occur normally, and it's a hassle finding those planets.

Even without that functionality, this is still a really great mod, and I appreciate it.

Still works no issues with current version.

it's crazy to me that after so many updates and DLCs this isn't a base feature

Thanks for the mod, trying to check system one by one just to determine where should i build megastructure can be a chore

Updated to version 1.02, for Stellaris 3.13. See Change Notes for details.

@Martok, @Excel.exe, @CoR|SolidusX: Thanks!
