Precursor Selection

Description
A mod that allows you to select any number of precursors.

Instead of simply starting all the precursor event chains at the start of the game, this mod will wait a number of days, then ask you which precursors you want. You will then get the precursor introduction event once you scan a valid planet. If you choose more than one precursor, the next precursor will not be able to spawn until a number of months have passed.

Multiplayer
If used in multiplayer, the host will be able to decide how precursors are chosen:

Classic: each player will be able to choose the precursors they want, with no players being able to choose the same precursors. Players will choose in a randomly determined order.

Random: each player is assigned a precursor at random. There will be no menu, nor will any player know what precursor they got until they discover it through survey.

Divided: Like random, except you get as many precursors as possible, evenly dividing the precursors among the players.

Deck of Cards: Each player is given a choice between 3 randomly selected precursors.

Modded Precursors

This mod works with the following mods which add precursors:

More Precursors adds 3 new precursors

Forgotten History adds 2 new precursors

Unavoidable Changes by Ghostman adds a new precursor

Forgotten Empires by Inny adds 5 new precursors

Precursor Story Pack by 슈팅스타], XVCV and ChupaChups adds 3 new precursors, though it is not updated for the newest version. The precursors from this mod is available in Forgotten Empires.

Unfortunately then the remaining precursors won't spawn.

but how does it work if i already explored the entire galaxy after getting through the first few precursors, some of these chains take a lot of time.

The Forgotten Empires mod has a policy that you can change that makes the precursors spawn consecutively, which you can then additionally enforce a specific option for for all empires (most useful for multiplayer).

this is a great mod but i wish the archeology precursors could start spawning in one after another because one of them always breaks due to AI empire expansion

Ah, ok, thanks!

I had thought the random button was independent of the selection list.

@MeniliteZ
You could pick all except those you want to exclude and use the random button.

Is there a way I can select precursors to exclude?
I've gotten 2 of them so many times.

I tried picking the other 3 but got all 3 in the same game. I just want 1 per game.

I moved the mod down to the bottom of the list in the Launcher, and this time I did get the pop-up.

However, it's possible that when I launched the game previously, to start a new playthrough, some of the mods failed to be enabled, including this one, because I wasn't getting the full benefits of certain tier number mods. So it's possible the load order did not matter, and it was a glitch or something I did wrong.

No, I don't use that mod.
