ΠΕΡΙΓΡΑΦΗ
this fork of ScriptableComputer
fork creation was approved by the authors of the mod
for the mod to work correctly, there SHOULD BE NO "ScriptableComputer" and/or "SCI" in the world
this mod DOES NOT VIOLATE anyone's licenses, the author of the original does not mind that I am doing a fork
this mod DOES NOT CONTAIN SCI and ScrapComputers code and partial compatibility is implemented using a layer

why do I recommend staying at SComputers rather than switching to ScrapComputers:
* compatible with the original mod (SComputers is fully compatible with Scriptable Computer, ScrapComputers is not compatible with anything)
* native lua support (only SComputers have the ability to use native lua instead of a slow VM through a small modification of the game files)
* the lack of a strict license (ScrapComputers constantly brandish a hammer and threaten to ban your addon and put you in the oven if you do anything wrong or take their code, I, as the author of SComputers, do not mind that my code was borrowed and any addons were made to my mod)
* regular updates (look at how many updates ScrapComputers have, I don't think they'll do at least 20 updates in a year. I update regularly, you should only write to me about the bug in discord and the update will be released in a couple of days at most)

luaInLua bug fixes:
* most of the luaInLua bugs have been fixed
* local variables now work fine
* the arguments of the functions now also work fine

advantages of SComputers compared to any other computer mods:
* bug fixes (critical filesystem bugs, bugs causing lags, bugs breaking code, and many other extremely unpleasant bugs have been fixed in SComputers)
* compatibility (this mod is fully compatible with the original and with SCI and may also be compatible with other mods in the future)
* responsive support (you can always write a comment to the mod and I will answer it, you can also write to me in the discord "smlogic")
* optimization (displays in SComputers lag much less than in the original)
* the presence of require and built-in libraries (image, midi, vdisplay, base64, utf8, ramfs, etc)
* code examples (code examples in mod will help you figure it out a bit)
* security (from SComputers it is much more difficult to cause bugsplat, game freezes, lags)
* availability of new components
* regular updates (about 4 updates per week)
* support for crafting recipes
* radars are seen a robots/wocs/worms
* ability to use betterAPI to load code (instead of luaInLua) which will allow you to receive normal error reports and greatly increase productivity
* the mod has its own API for creating addons, which is described in the documentation

current documentation is "temporary"
because the scrapmechanictool site has closed
also, the SComputers documentation describes only what SComputers adds
you will still need to study the documentation of the parent mod (ScriptableComputer) to have an idea of how the mod works

I WAS FINALLY ABLE TO FIX THE CRAFTING RECIPES

I do not know why, but the custom game for crafts (and more specifically the mod database) simply does not define my mod as loaded

Alright, il leave you alone, unless you lie again with our mod. Yes, your mod is a fork of SCI. you cannot lie about that. Also SCI has around 800 subscribers in 2023, dont know why you wanna have a compattability api with a mod that is being used by no one now.

in addition, there is no copyright on ScriptableComputer anymore, as reported by the original author himself. Leave me alone

VeraDev: What the f@ck are you talking about? there is nothing in my mod to link it to SCI except a couple of aliases in ENV that serve to run SCI code. SComputers does not contain ANYTHING from SCI, so it is not a fork of SCI

@BananaPen: it is, because your still using contents from SCI. You might have just changed item descriptions to remove the LAST SCI related thing that NokoDev could discover about your mod and not actually changed forks.

You could do that and no one would know. And also at that time, the difference was so big between your mod and the other computer mods, it is impossible for you to move fork's. So what i know, you just changed inventory descriptions.

And removing inventory descriptions from SCI does NOT mean that SComputers is not a fork of SCI. That is still property from SCI!

Also your still violating DLM's copyright. Its been like this for so long that i give up checking on it because i know your still gonna violate it AND the fact that the DLM's license file is not there makes it even worse. (No, you cant lie on that, i know you deleted that file)

VeraDev: so SComputers is not a fork of SCI
VeraDev 7 Σεπ, 12:59
@BananaPen, Because that was in 2023.. you've already changed it.

VeraDev: Don't you know how to check facts at all? item descriptions in SComputers are completely different than in SCI. CHECK IT YOURSELF
