One thing I always wanted to do but never could bring myself to do is overhaul the Empire faction in the Royalty DLC. For such a mysterious, powerful entity in the political sphere of RimWorld, there is surprisingly little content around them. When I wanted to make a Royalty focused playthrough, I quickly realized it’s just a ‘normal playthrough’ with ‘royalty sprinkles’ - so not really what I wanted.

So I did what I do best and sat down with my trusty google docs to design a complete overhaul to the Empire faction that will finally allow you to feel like a proper imperial nobility. From intrigues and art exhibitions, to hunting down deserters and protecting from the acts of terrorism, with this mod you can really make an Empire-centric playthrough and make a play for the Imperial throne.

With new permits, structures, apparel, vassalage system, royal honors, Great Hierarchy and titles, this mod is a powerhouse for those wanting to roleplay as the Imperial family, but it will also work just as well for people who only want one or two nobles in their colony.

For obvious reasons this mod requires Royalty DLC.

Using RuntimeGC or any mod that clears world pawns will result in the Great Hierarchy being broken. Use ‘Regenerate Great Hierarchy’ dev option if that happens.

Q: Does this mod add Deserter content? Can I fight the Empire?
A: No, this is VFE-Empire, not VFE-Deserters. Being hostile to the Empire makes 95% of the content in this mod disabled.

Q: Is this mod save game compatible?
A: Yeah! You can’t remove it after you add it though!

Q: It doesn’t make sense lore-wise that XYZ.
A: Ok, you do you.

Q: I don’t see the Royalty menu button at the bottom of my screen!
A: You need to join the Empire by gaining a titled pawn for the Great Hierarchy UI to become accessible.

Q: Is this mod compatible with Combat Extended?
A: Yeah!

Q: Does this mod work with Medieval playthroughs?
A: No, Royalty is an Ultratech faction.

the mod The Dead Man's Switch are conficting with Wimp quest for Royalty not appears (the intro wimp quest being the one where you save a noble from a manhunting animal and get 8 honor)

confilits in quest generator from VFEE

so i ticked off "give honor" for in the reward preference from 796 logstic division and the intro wimp quest working normally! the The Dead Man's Switch uses the system of honor too.

I have noticed that at least for me the Intro Wimp quest for Royalty has never appeared to me (the intro wimp quest being the one where you save a noble from a manhunting animal and get 8 honor).

If I remember correctly the conditions for this quest was to have 3 colonists, have honor rewards enabled and then just wait 8 days and it will pop up however I've had those conditions fulfilled for a while now but it won't show up.

The deserter one has showed up to me so I just think it's weird if that one appeares but not the other one. I also looked through the files to try to see if anything of note had changed but I couldn't find anything that would indicate that.

It was the modded sculptures that was the issue, thank you
Oskar Potocki  [author] 14 Aug @ 4:16am
Perhaps you're not meeting the requirements? Gallery needs at least 3 sculptures (modded sculptures won't work), whilst ballroom needs an instrument and enough room in front of it.
Lethice 13 Aug @ 11:26am
Are there any known incopadabilities with this one? for some reason for me the gallery and ballroom dont seem to register properly and only seem to count as a "room" and "recroom" respectively

Don't report bugs here.

Shouldn't the armored shuttle be able to fire?
