Description
Base addon. It is required for most of all SligWolf addons.

Please read the full description for all informations and help about the addon!
It is strictly forbidden to edit and re-upload this addon in any way.

Info:
  • Base lua scripts, materials, models and sounds for most of all SW addons.
  • GitHub Version[github.com] of the SW Base. Mind the README!

Why the base?
This addon contains all necessary components that most of all SW Addons need to work properly. It also avoid to have every single component in each addon again. Like lights, doors, display, sounds, shared models ect.

The base addon makes creating updates and new addons A LOT easier.
So in the best case I just need to update the base addon instead of every single addon.

Addons requiring the SW Base addon is not a subject to change!

Special thanks to:

Console command:
  • sv_sligwolf_reload_addon base
Reloads the base addon (and all other SW Addons)

  • sv_sligwolf_addons_allow_workshop_download 0/1 (Default: 1)
Allow or disallow workshop downloads (resource.AddWorkshop()) of SW Addons for joining clients. Requires server restart.

Any problems? Please read those:

All our addons are carefully tested.
Your problem is caused by wrong usage or by bad reading UNTIL proven otherwise!
Please read again, try again!

This addon is free to stay free, so we don't give individual/spoonfeeding/idiot support.

Commenting:
You can give feedback and report bugs in the comment section down below.

We have moved to our official steam group now:

Since we still experienced quite undesirable behavior by some users,
we decided to create a new steam group called: SW Addons

It allows us to manage and maintain the discussion with more moderation features than we have on the Workshop.
We hope you can understand our decision and we see us at the next update or new addon!

We will close the comment section here on SW Base on September 1st, 2024
The only way to contact us will be via our new steam group.

Hi! Thanks for the quick reply. I did see the topic after writing the comment. I've switched to the default branch, and can confirm the chromium branch is indeed causing issues.

Hi! I came with a really silly question. How to actually use the trains properly? I mean, they keep popping off the tracks. Even more so than when I used them pre-SW base. Do you know if maybe there was an update to Gmod (or if possibly the base itself does this) that made some optimizations to the way physics are calculated? I've noticed that trains are pretty much 100% guaranteed to derail if they are a considerable distance away from the player, but they are also usually derailing when I'm riding inside. Even at crawling speeds, one of the axles just randomly shoots upward and derails. Both in curves and rarely even on straights. Are there any console commands that directly affect physics, or does the framerate need to be above 60 for this to work properly? I'm genuinely interested to find out what's causing this.

@Haybale: This is likely an addon conflict, which messes up an internal entity table from the game. Other addon might have this issue too on your end.
