I can now confirm that this also applies to infection *prevention* via Zomboxycycline, not just the Zomboxivir cure. Because my character only used Zomboxycycline and then got zombie injuries multiple times while under the effects.
I'm willing to bet that if you've exited the game and reloaded in between the initial clear of the infection and the next contraction of the infection, you won't have the instant death bug. That's a total guess though, untested, but it's an educated guess.
Does this mod have some kind of strange interaction with Authentic Z? It seems that the Yellow CDC zombies that spawn as a result of Authentic Z are carrying Zomboxivir. Which is making balancing the spawn rate in my multiplayer server exceedingly hard.
I think I might understand how this mod works now, and that is the existing CDC zombie which is freakishly rare, now has their suit color changed, satchel added, and Zomboxivir put into their inventory. Then in the settings you are given the ability to manually change their spawn rate. If that is the case I could see this causing strange conflict with Authentic Z where it can't control the spawn rate, or it can't differentiate between Authentic Z Hazmats and They Knew Hazmats.
I'm pretty sure nothing else I have running should be interacting with the Hazmat zombies so that's my only guess.

Sixth appearance to the 1904 zombies. Nothing.
Seventh appearance at 1932. Nothing.
Eighth appearance to the 2369 zombies. Appearance of Zomboxivir.
I liked how it turned out, of course this is random, and a cure may appear at first, but it is more difficult for you to fill up on zomboxivir easily.
