~ (KTTFDE) ~

⚑ This mod is fan-made continuation of [Kurin, The Three Tailed Fox]. I do not own (or claim to own) original resources of [Kurin, Three Tailed Fox] mod. Creators of [Kurin, Three Tailed Fox] mod are shown on its workshop page. I wanted to play with kurins, and I made a lot of content for them.

KTTFDE offers:
  • The Kurin species, evolved, but untamed. Original kurins were created by Dalrae and Kuro (and others)
  • Hi-resolution textures. Textures of KTTFDE are 512x512. DDS-textures support included for some textures
  • Facial animations that are similar to animations of original mod
  • Kimiri species
  • Lilin animals
  • 1 kurin IFV; 1 kurin LTV, 1 kurin heavy duty truck, 1 kurin missile carrier, 1 kurin power armor, 2 kurin VTOLs, 2 kurin Titans. Optional, if you use [Vehicle Framework]
  • 2 kurin shuttles. Optional, if you use [SRTS Expanded]
  • 2 kurin storytellers. Momoka Modest, Firika Fervent. High desired population. High event appearance rate
  • Kurin quests
  • Custom kurin ending
  • Feature to request various stuff from kurin NPC faction with a communication console, for example kurin shuttle traders or even new colonists
  • High-tech production buildings - kurin fabricators
  • Name generator for kurins
  • New kurin backstories and lore (very interesting (no))
  • Noose trap from 1.0 kurin mod; a cake; a KuriSoda; kurin posters; etc
  • 19+ new kurin clothes
  • 16 new kurin weapons

Supported languages:

~ (Details) ~

Kurin personality in KTTFDE is about 4 skill focuses: mining, talking, mind, agility.
  • "Mining focus" is from dens of foxes, foxes dig dens, bury food, etc
  • "Talking focus" is from fox charm, many nations describe them in tales as cunning and talkative, also foxes have so-called society, complex and funny.
  • "Mind focus" is from smartness of foxes
  • "Agility focus" is from agility of foxes

⚑ KTTFDE has integrated compatibility with Combat Extended (1.4~1.5).
⚑ KTTFDE has integrated compatibility with Ideology, Biotech and Royalty DLCs. Kurins have their own culture, their own mechanoids, their own xenotype (actually kurinkind is not humankind, but another species, but okay). Also kurins have their own royal/noble/psychic apparel. (1.4~1.5)
⚑ Lilins were genetically engineered by kurins. They are horse-sized three-tailed foxes. The strength of a horse, the power of a warg, the devotion of a dog.
⚑ Kimiris were made in kurin project of super-soldier creation, they are Astartes of kurinkind.
⚑ Kurins of KTTFDE have two genders (original kurin mod had only females).

~ (Usage Guide) ~

⚑ In settings of the mod you may find some useful options: change appearance of kurin eyes, or make kurin ears visible above armored helmets, and more.

⚑ There is a special feature for 1.4 Biotech DLC users, with KTTFDE [Ears and Tails Genepack] submod enabled kurins get tails and ears as genes.

Harmony is required.

⚑ This mod should not be used together with Kurin HAR Edition.

⚑ With [NL] Apparel Paper Pattern some vanilla clothes of OnSkin and Shell categories are starting to look pleasant on kurins and kimiris. (1.4)

[NL] Apparel Paper Pattern

⚑ You may use any of Hats Display Selection or [KV] Show Hair With Hats or Hide All Hats or Dubs Apparel Tweaks to have right hats rendering. However, you should not use Hats Display Selection together with [NL] Facial Animation - WIP, because kurin tails and ears just disappear.

⚑ Tips about using KTTFDE with [Dubs Apparel Tweaks] mod. Enable "Show hair under hats" and if you have facial animation mod on - "Alternate hair draw mode (for conflicts)" in its mod settings. Also set "Hair layer offset" to -0.001. Also don't forget to place Dubs Apparel Tweaks AFTER Facial Animation mod in the mod list, if you use it as well.

Akasis, for 1.5 the patch for the mod is outdated. It will be revised in the next update.

[NL] Apparel Paper Pattern has updated, but I can't get the working for Kurin.
I tried to get it working with a shirt and a duster or so, but their textured didn't get adjusted.
Is is caused my modlist or is the support outdated?

NBThunderbolt, that's... how npc pawns could end up with pregnancy, I set pregnancy chance to 0 for kurin pawnkinds, what in the world... Well, you might just spawn this pawn on your map with dev mode, and then try to either delete her pregnancy Hediff, or simply destroy her...

Anko072, a base game thing. Sometimes human pawns show up with kurin xenotype, there is no bug, it just is as it is. You can consider that kurins improved genetics of humans who are in their service.

:Mirro_sakura: Update notice.

Kurin Erika VTOL has been rewritten. After the update, if you had any Erika VTOL you should rebuild all of them because I added new passenger slots that won't appear for existing Erika (sadge), also they have only 60 kg of cargo capacity now, so they can't carry vehicles with their cargo inventory. Without new Erika's slots, it has no usage.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but it is what it is. Previous version of Erika was quite buggy, so I had to rewrite it. :steamsad:

I sometimes get basic pawns with kurin/kimiri genes, is it general bug or may be cause by my modlist?

Interesting bug I found that's got a super rare occurrence, but happened to me:

Under current coding, a non player controlled Kurin can't give birth to pawns, but can still get pregnant. Not normally an issue, it just throws an error, and continues as if the Health Effect was a normal timed condition after the birth process.

However, the base game has a chance of sending a random pawn to visit durring the early stages of pregnancy. The chances are something like 1/1,000 for normal pawns, and 1/10,000 for Kurin pawns.

If a Kurin Pawn leaves the map while Pregnant, after few days, they will try to initiate the birth off map, and cause a repeating error that will lock up the game's tick rate since it doesn't know how to handle the error and can't spawn the new pawn. (1 tick every 2 seconds for me when it happened.) This will continue until the Kurin in question is removed from the world pawn list.

[BC]Marie Antoinette, nah, that's my patch for kurin mechanoids and VEF animals prefix that colliding, I will look into it later.

Astro, no, they are not interchangeable.

月羽狐, they are not dragonians. They are kimiri for years. But yeah, from 1.5 they have dark skin colors as the species they were made of. But the part about human body texture is interesting and strange, female kimiri should have female kurin body, male kimiri should have hulk kimiri body.

Yuudatchi, the description says that you can request various stuff from kurin NPC faction with a communication console, for example kurin shuttle traders or even new colonists. Don't piss them off, their raids are devastating (UwU).

Huggable Druchii, I can't say why either. The information provided is not enough.
