"False Harpies" are humans infected with a horrible disease called "Harpy Disease". This strange disease only affects humans, and seems to come from...Avians?! Indeed, that's why these infected humans are called "False Harpies".
They resemble mythical harpies, but cannot fly. Even their wings are oddly positioned on their head or even hips! Their bodies are covered in scales, and their feet and hands have been transformed into bird-like toes and claws. As the disease worsens, the scales slowly cover more and more of their "human" body...

Ostracized and slowly getting worse, these poor souls are left to live on their own and in fear getting killed or "hunted". Even the Miniknog want to "study" these sickened people... Indeed, life as a False Harpy is almost no life at all...

I did base this race off of humans, and I'm not afraid to say it. If you think about it...because of the disease...they are technically a REAL human reskin! Humans! Reskinned! Literally! (That joke sounded funnier in my head...)
Anyways, I made this race because I wanted something simpler to work on when it comes to modded races, but something that still has love, good content, and is overall fun! So yeah! That's why the False Harpies exist! Their content is gonna be based moreso around lore, NPC dialogues, encounters, and possibly even more custom missions. Thank you for reading!
TLDR; Yes, calling them a human reskin is literally a fair point!

You can pick from any extender you want! Xbawks Character Extender is a really good example!
If you use Frackin' Universe, however, you do not need an extender. One is already built into FU.
