Manage Containers

Beskrivelse
Works with existing saves for singleplayer and multiplayer.

What's the purpose?
You've just finished a big haul, you're back at your base and now you have to unload everything. Wouldn't you want to be able to select everything and ask the game to filter for you?
Well now you can! All you have to do is set which category your containers accepts and you're set.

How to use
Right click any container and select "Configure Container". This will bring up the list of item categories based on the items present in that save.
It works the same as
  • Left click to set one category.
  • Ctrl + Left click to add/remove a single category.
  • Shift + Left click to bulk add/remove categories from the previous click to the current click.
After you've set the item categories you want this container to receive, here are the two ways to transfer.
  • Selecting multiple items in your inventory, right clicking and selecting transfer to assigned containers.
  • Shift + transferAll for your selected inventory.

Helpful Tip
If want to prevent item(s) from being transferred, mark them as favorite and they will stay in your inventory.

Compatibility
This works with any mods that recategorize items (In fact it's better with!). Including Better Sorting or any other mod that recategorize items

Gamepad Support
Gamepad support is barebone but functional (best of my knowledge)
  • To manage the specific container, make sure it is highlighted. You can toggle the inventory in order to cycle nearby containers.
  • To Transfer All applicable Items, select the option Transfer All + Right Trigger

Future Goals
If this mod is used by enough users, I plan to add new features such as:
  • Save/Load Presets
  • Item name filters
  • Walk to nearby containers

Progress & Support
I will now regularly post progress of new mods/mod update on ko-fi. To stay in the know, I simply ask for a coffee ^^
I might also stream live development of what I am working on if interest is shown for that sort of viewing.
More good things are to come! Follow to know when :)

I'm using a creative cheat to spawn a military locker, and the number of errors (shown in red) keeps climbing into the thousands when I click "Configure Container" on it. What's going on?

Based on Indie Stone's new post today, looks like a modpocolypse is coming soon. Hope to see this one among those who rise again.

@Player 1 Well aren't you full of questions.
A 1. Haven't set a limit so it will be the default limit for PZ text fields.
A 2. If a container is full it won't allow to add more. If another non full container is nearby it will use that one instead.
A 3. If you want an overflow container you can just bulk shift select all the categories. It should not prioritize the overflow by design due to how I made the sorting algorithm prioritize more exclusive category filtering.

Q - what is the max. Range of Char. to Containers that it still can Drop of the Items ? And what Happens if a dedicated Container is Full ? Is there a "Overflow" Container you can set ?

Best of luck on your career! I'm going to download this mod because the loot management in this game takes up so much time. So thank you for making this mod!

Hey! Dev update :spiffo:

My IRL dev job employment status had been sadly for several months set to 'Layoff' :steamsad:. As it is the case for so many software devs globally. Sadly this reality includes me..

Because of this I planned on pausing all updates to correctly change that employment state back to the value it should be :steamthis:

But! If something mucho bad happens like the new Build 42 (F-ing hyped! :crystal:) would cause feature breaking bug(s) that impact all/most survivors. That, don't worry, I'll work on a fix.

Cheers!

Since a few months ago I can't get the mod to work, I checked my mod list but I use the same mods since a long time ago.
When I try to set a filter to some container directly throws an error message and never works the filter.

It doesn't work at all. I configured a container and that worked fine, but configuring anything after that is broken because the configure menu "remembers" the previous configuration, even though nothing is selected. I am even checking advanced view and nothing is included/excluded, yet it still is managed like the container I previously configured.
