Description
SFO submod by Doofalicious Supreme (Updated for Twisted & Twilight!)

SFO submod by 金花 (outdated, but a big thank you for all the months you've supported it, 金花!)

This mod is meant to flesh out the Nagarythe roster and give it a more skirmishing and ambushing playstyle. All Nagarythe units now have immunity from snow attrition, this includes Shadow Warriors, Shadow Walkers and Alith Anar from vanilla. The other High Elf factions shouldn't be able to recruit these units.

Buildings:

Aesanar Camp
This building is now a full building chain up to tier 5. It continually adds access to new units and heroes, while also adding units to the garrison and further buffing the effects that the building grants

Coraith Barracks
This building is more of a placeholder for now until I can make more Coraith units.


Lords:

Alatar, Prince of Shadows
This Legendary Lord is performs well in combat and is an excellent battle commander with his many army buffs. He lacks faction-wide buffs to compensate for his powerful commander buffs. He has a Griffon mount.

Aesanar Prince
This generic lord has good missile attack and good melee attack vs infantry. He has two mount options: a horse and a Griffon.

Aesanar Princess
A generic melee lord with good melee attack, especially vs infantry. She's a great duellist and has two mount options: a horse and a Griffon.


Heroes:

Shynara, Hand of the Shadow Crown
This Legendary Hero has a vast array of skills, including some to boost the army she's attached to. She's a good melee combatant and comes with her own unique skills and items. She will spawn next to Alith Anar at the start of a new campaign, both in Vortex and Mortal Empires.

Herald of the Shadow Crown
This agent has a bow, spear and shield. While weak in melee, he is able to almost match Alith Anar with his bow. It has an Eagle mount and some strong skills.

Aesanar Guardian
This Loremaster focuses on killing the enemy quickly while keeping your important characters alive with its Guardian aura and the Regrowth spell. He can get an Eagle mount at level 16, which allows him to cast his spells anywhere on the map quickly.


Units:

Shadow Guard
Role: basic swordsmen infantry
Abilities and attributes: Martial Prowess, Stalk and Vanguard Deployment.
This unit benefits from the skills and techs for Spearmen.
It can be recruited from the Aesanar Camp.

Shadowhawks
Role: flying skirmishing cavalry vs large entities
Abilities and attributes: Causes Fear, Fire Whilst Moving, Strider
This unit benefits from the Sky Master, Favourable Winds and Silver Torrent Lord skills and the Eagle technologies.
It can be recruited from the Aesanar Base (higher tier Aesanar Camp, see Buildings).

Aesanar Sentinels
Role: elite flying cavalry
Abilities and attributes: Causes Fear, Fire Whilst Moving, Immune to Psychology
This unit benefits from the Sky Master, Favourable Winds and Silver Torrent Lord skills and the Eagle technologies.
It can be recruited from the Black Citadel of Anlec landmark in Nagarythe.

Wardens of Elanardris
Role: elite stealth missile infantry
Abilities and attributes: Vanguard Deployment, Strider, Snipe, Stalk, Martial Mastery, Loec's Shroud
This unit benefits from the skills and techs for Shadow-walkers.
It can be recruited from the Black Citadel of Anlec landmark in Nagarythe.

Shadow-walkers (Spiteful Bodkins)
Role: skirmish missile infantry
Abilities and attributes: Vanguard Deployment, Fire Whilst Moving, Stalk, Martial Prowess
This unit benefits from the skills and techs for Shadow-walkers.
It can be recruited from the Black Citadel of Anlec landmark in Nagarythe.

Sentries of the Shadow Crown
Role: flanking melee cavalry with a stealth ability
Abilities and attributes: Vanguard Deployment, Martial Prowess, Hide (Forest), Shadow Cloak (unique ability to become unspottable for a short time)
This unit benefits from the skills and techs for Silver Helms.
It can be recruited from the tier 3 Aesanar Camp.

Raven Herald Archers
Role: missile cavalry
Abilities and attributes: Vanguard Deployment, Martial Prowess, Stalk, Fire Whilst Moving
This unit benefits from the skills and techs for Ellyrian Reaver Archers.
It can be recruited from the tier 5 Aesanar Camp.

Raven Heralds
Role: shock cavalry
Abilities and attributes: Vanguard Deployment, Martial Prowess, Hide (Forest)
This unit benefits from the skills and techs for Dragon Princes.
It can be recruited from the tier 5 Aesanar Camp.

Shadow Phoenix
Role: ethereal melee monster
Abilities and attributes: Vanguard Deployment, Causes Fear, Causes Terror, Aura of Protection (+12% ward save with 40m range), 63% physical resist (75% total resist with the aforementioned 12% ward save)
This unit benefits from all the standard Phoenix lord buffs and technologies.
It can be recruited from the tier 4 and 5 temples of Asuryan.

guys i tried playing this mod when i turn this mod on and choose a elf faction it wont load it just freezes then crash

I can't play this faction in WH3 without this mod. This mod literally saved the faction in WH2 for me, and I must have played and re-played so many campaigns because of it. Just wanted to let you know that I appreciated what you did and if this never comes to WH3, well, I can always have it on WH2

It's a lot easier to just include units in the pool of units that are affected by a technology than it is to change the description of the technology

ahh my bad, i started a game to test the mod out but did not saw the units being included in the research discription, so hence my confusion. thnx for the reply o7
