Malkav is a major contributor to AOTC in general and has made multiple mods adding extra compatibility for SNS with other mods. He also helped patch a bug early on in SNS' life!

dninemfive
dninemfive's Advanced Shield Belts mod it critical to the ranged shields that the Cosmic Power Armor and CHARON Armor have. Without him, the suits would be not nearly as strong as they are today.

Roll1D2 Games (youtube URL)
A bit of an outlier from the hall of fame, Roll1D2 Games is a YouTube content creator that used AOTC in one of his series and provided a large amount of motivation and ideas for my mod, both bugfixes and features. His discord helped, too.

Armorguy1 provided me the idea of turrets for SNS and image ideas! 2.3 would not be turrets without him!

SGl0bGVy
SGl0bGVy provided the code for the CE patch, speeding up my learning of the CE systems and thus the update!

For the first-time visitor who's deciding if they want to use this mod or not.

Science will never, ever come to an end. Even when we believe all the discoveries to have been made, there will still be yet more things to learn of our reality, of our condition, because some things will forever be beyond our reach, even if we don't know it.

So why, if Science Never Stops, does the research?



Welcome, to AMBITION OF THE COSMIC! This mod aims to take the original vision of the mod and take it in a whole different direction, expanding the research tree and adding new weapons/buildings to fit alongside other mods that increases the technological ceiling, like GlitterTech and Save Our Ship 2 for example.

The mod was orinally made by Aion Algos (formerly known as Alestor) and was originally simply a personal modification changing the names, textures, and rebalancing the energy consumption of some items. I do NOT claim ownership for what was originally in the mod, nor do I claim the original vision of the mod.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS MOD AND ITS ORIGINAL ARE MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE: YOU MUST USE THIS MOD OR THE ORIGINAL AND ONLY THAT ONE UNLESS YOU WANT THINGS TO POSSIBLY GO VERY, VERY WRONG. COMBINING THE MODS WILL VOID ANY BUG REPORTS! BEWARE!

With that said, let's get into the meat of the mod.


AOTC features three 'tiers' or 'generations' of technologies, each growing progressively more and more powerful than the preceding generation. There's too many techs to be explained in detail here, so I'll leave an overview of all of what's added by AOTC:

* A massive extension to the late game!
* Three tiers (called Generations in this mod) of technology that get progressively more powerful and overall just absurd in both tech point cost and power.
* New materials that leave Vanilla materials in the dust, and even some modded ones, too. Includes textiles, too! (GlitterTech, I'm coming for you!)
* A collection of weapons that get increasingly more powerful. You shall dominate the battlefield!
* A large collection of turrets that get increasingly more powerful just like the guns. Raiders will regret ever existing in the same universe as you.
* Three tiers of armor that get increasingly more powerful. Nothing shall break through your shields! ...Right?
* Power generators that eventually will probably produce way more energy than you know what to do with!
* Medicine and food that compete with other mods that extend the late game.
* New workstation buildings that make many of the things added by this mod!
* Hydroponics basins!
* Floors. This is probably enough to make you subscribe, am I right?
* PLEASE, DON'T LEAVE ME HERE!
* Create materials out of basically nothing, just with extra steps.
=] Too lazy? Reach further down the tech tree and make things out of literally nothing, no extra steps involved!

@The Beast. It works for 1.5 now without any issues, but if you want a semi-replacement, I recommend checking out "Beyond Our Reach" it was a submod called Beyond the Ambition that added integration with quite a few mods that has now become its own standalone mod with some pretty great changes.

@Pinkie Pie, it never did. There is another mod that was made to work with CE. Just search the mod's name and you'll find the CE patch mod.
