Water Tank Pack CDMX

Description
Mexico City Water Tank Pack by La Guacamaya, Espańol al fondo.

Technical Info:

This is a set of 12 residential props each including a Diffuse, Specular, Colour, and Normal map. The tanks are small and simple so CS seems to do a decent job making a LOD - I was also conscious of the filesize. A custom one may be provided in the future if there is demand. There is a ~very~ slight colour variation for some wear.

Small Water Tank (600L for 3 people ),
Medium Water Tank ( 1100L for 4 people),
Large (2500L for 10 people)

Tris count: 272
Texture size: 512x512 px

The screenshots were taken with Relight Neutral and Pdelmo’s Australia Coast theme.

If you are using Find It! you can use a combination of the following terms for this asset: la Guacamaya, CDMX, Mexico, Mexico City, WaterTank, Water Tank, Tinaco (Water Tank in Spanish), Prop, Lupita, Rotoplas, Aguas, as well as Small, 600L, Medium, 1100L, Large, and 2500L.

--- Description ---

This is hopefully the first of many assets I make as part of a Mexico City Cities Skylines project. This set includes four water tanks in three standard sizes common in Mexico City and found throughout Latin America. The tanks are in the Rotoplas brand in Black and Cream versions (Rotoplas System/Better Water & Rotoplas/More and Better Water), originating in Mexico, Rotoplas tanks are also found throughout rooftops in Latin America where water tanks are used to maintain consistent water pressure when there are issues with the municipal water system. The fictional brands are Lupita of the Waters/From the Mountain to your Home & Aguas! We’ll take care of you).

The tanks are standard sizes, and are smaller than Beardedmonkey’s water tank set. The logos are small and will blur wth the vanilla camera settings, but they hold at closer distances with a modded camera. The tanks are meant to be placed on ledges, rooftops, and other flat surfaces. Each tank includes a pair of pipes that extend 3.5 meters below the ground level allowing you to place the tanks in an elevated position. To do so in game you’ll need BloodyPenguin’s Prop Snapping and Prop & Tree Anarchy, as well as Quboid’s Move it!.

Each asset in this CDMX project will be easily searchable and identifiable through unique icons, the description, and the filename. I’m looking to release content gradually with more ~interesting~ assets to be released in the future, however almost everyone and every building in Mexico uses these water tanks, with the Rotoplas design being widely copied by smaller companies. Built on the former lakebed of the Lago de Texcoco, there’s no way to explore Mexico City without lookout first, at water.

This is my first set of assets and I’m very excited to begin publishing this project slowly, so any input, suggestions, or photos of Mexico City Assets in the wild are welcome!
