Empire at War: Remake 4.0 – The Grand Update

It's finally here! With the Grand Update, we now consider Remake a complete experience, but it is far from a finished product. With the major reworks done, and the sandbox fully fleshed out, new content should be releasing much more often. The 4.0 Update is a total overhaul of the entire game, leaving nothing untouched. Forget everything you know about vanilla, and the previous versions of Remake, because it's a whole new beast. We all hope you enjoy our unique take on Empire at War, focused on large scale, exciting warfare and our new Ground Overhaul!

New Feature Overview:

- The Webway GC Overhaul:
New Maps and new gameplay, focused on capturing powerful Sectors
New Minor Factions, each of which has unique units
New GC Economy Overhaul (Watch out for Attrition and Upkeep Costs!)
New GC AI Overhaul
New AI Only "Observer GC" (Sit back, and watch the chaos, as the AI plays the whole game for you, battles and all!)

- Space Overhauls:
New Modular Space Station Overhaul
New Secondary Space Stations (Including Golans!)
New Starfighter Overhaul (Including new Starfighter Behavior [no more blobs], new Weapons, many new units, and the Attrition system)
New Space Units (Including the Hutt Fleet! Finally, the Underworld is a proper Faction)

- Ground Overhauls:
New Regiment System (Build and Deploy entire armies at once)
New Mechanics
New types of Infantry, Vehicles, and Ground Starfighters
New Weapons and Abilities
New Modular Base Overhaul
New Buildings, and Defensive Building Types
New Bombing Runs (Each type of bomber has it's own weapon/bomb loadout)

- Miscellaneous Overhauls:
An incredibly extensive Audio Overhaul, with nearly 9000 new audio files added, featuring all new SFX, Voice-overs, and Music from your favorite Star Wars content. Enjoy the nostalgia!

I hate, when AI can do more at battle than me: It can speed up units, It HAS slightly powerful unity than you do, it can go outside the map, it can force you to autobattle, it can freely use units or bring new ones when retreating (with combination of speed-up and this, it can easily avoid getting destroyed when "calculating jump to hyperspace"

Also @Doom232sky you can probably just lower the pop cap if they're spamming so much, or if you can find a way, lower the income of the AI faction. I personally almost always use the empire, so I set the pop cap higher for me, and maybe lower or higher for the AI.

I'm having a bit of an annoying problem with space ai, constantly picking paths that are insane, most of the time when I order to attack something. I get that capital ships are better at range, but does doing an entire 180 really help attack something?

I assume this can't be fixed, so I'm just complaining to a brick wall here. Even moving them can be a pain to do. I'll survive, but when there's a ton of capital ships it can get frustrating, I don't want to individually plot the course for every single one of them just to get a good shooting position on a single target.

Is anyone else having a problem with not being able to see what is building for ground stuff? Buildings, ground units, etc.

Empire needs an air transport for units, something to deploy rapid response units. Also on that topic. AI needs their pathfinding fixed. 70% of the time they refuse to load into bunkers and transports.

Am not a moder & do not understand everything, but been around for playing some for 44 years.

I found a link from another mod dev I believe, whom said, those years ago. They improved the lag on GC map, perhaps by 50%

Is this a thing Niko that could perhaps help the slowmo & freezings stops on the GC map in your Remake mod perhaps?

So you have an issue with the AI moving through other factions territory at will. Or at lease with the hutts in the south. Their units are cut off and keep managing to travel through to cut off areas.
