Pariah Class - Healing is overrated

Description
The new Pariah class comes with 50 new skills in the polymorph skill line. The Pariah uses the energy from life to heal allies, death to deal damage, and the harmony in between to protect those in need. Pariahs CANNOT BE HEALED BY NORMAL MEANS. That's right. Pariahs are immune to all healing effects, including the Necromancy tree. Instead, the Pariah passively regenerates a percentage of their health each turn. This opens up a variety of interesting gameplay situations and scenarios, changing the way you think about the game.

CLASS DESIGN:

I designed this class to support a variety of play styles in game. Damage mage, to support caster, to tank, and even summoner. The versatility of this class is high.

THE BASICS:

PARIAH FORM - Pariah form renders you immune to healing, increases your maximum health, and provides passive regeneration .

Those with the pariah form status cannot take the Picture of Health talent and you do not get the bonus health if you have Lone Wolf (Balance reasons).

This skill is not tied to any skill tree and can be purchased for free from the vendor, if you feel adventurous enough to try it on different characters other than the Pariah. This skill cannot be toggled on and off mid combat.

The pariah's weapon of choice is the shield. A shield is required to use some of the melee attacks.

Almost all skills scale off of your maximum health. Only a select few scale differently, and that's simply because the editor is stupid and doesn't give the option for all skill types.

The pariah takes on three different forms, and can switch between them in combat:

LIFE FORM- Allies gain a percentage of your health regeneration while in life form. Gives access to powerful support skills and magic damage.

HARMONY FORM - Harmony form gives access to damage mitigation skills, and melee based attacks.

DEATH FORM - Increases the party's damage while in death form. Gives access to powerful AoE and crowd control abilities.

The full list of skills can be found here:

KNOWN ISSUES:

DO NOT SAVE YOUR GAME MID COMBAT. The Pariah status has a check at the beginning of combat to apply the passive heal. If a game is loaded and you are mid combat, all healing will be blocked and your regeneration will not be present for the fight, putting you at a severe disadvantage. This can be a problem with honor mode. If the Pariah dies, and is resurrected, it should work normally again.

Happy no healing!

NOTES REGARDING
HARMONY FORM

Added weapons to the vendor that scale off of constitution for harmony form. I didnt want to hard code the damage type because i didnt want to pigeon hole the class into being better at one damage type over another. I want the class to fit in different party compositions.

So, the damage is based on weapon damage. Unfortunately, the editor is dumb and also forces your skills to scale off of the weapon attribute, not just damage.

So, for those of you who want to hit like a wet noodle early in the game, by all means...use the swords. I balanced the mod around having roughly 55-60 con at level 20, and maxing out one damage tree (i.e. warfare etc).

For those of you who don't want to hit like a wet noodle, i suggest using a normal weapon early game, then switching over late game.

THIS APPLIES ONLY TO HARMONY FORM. The other two forms scale off of maximum vitality. They will eventually outpace harmony form in the late game anyway, as it's more meant to be like a tanking spec.

its % health. if you want more healing out of the passive, raise your health.

what does pariah form passive healing scale with?
CookinWithTide  [author] 17 Dec, 2022 @ 6:48pm
yea, otherwise you deal an insane amount of damage. it actually scales of max health, and not constitution stat for most skills.

Pariah Status is preventing armour recovery skills. I thought it was only supposed to prevent healing?

Hi. I'm not sure why the mod won't show up in the mod list. The only thing I've noticed is what appears to be a cap at ~100 subscribed mods in the list in game. If you are hitting this, I would unsubscribe from some other modsNot sure if this is what you are seeing.

I'm not sure what you mean by loading into arx and disabling the status.

I cant make any changes to this anymore sadly because the computer that had the code on it fried, and it's a lot of time to recover the the code. Larian did not make it easy to just import from a folder in the editor, sadly.
