This is an old addon fixed to work in Gmod 13. I am not sure who the original creator is, however the info.txt states zup as the author.

REQUIREMENTS: Wiremod

This addon is also multiplayer friendly. If players join after the storm is spawned, it might take a while before the particles show up.

Information: From the moment of spawn a huge super cell storm will lurk above the map. Eventually a rotating wall cloud will appear, then a tornado. From birth the tornado will start out weak, then it will slowly grow to a full blown EF5 tornado, causing havoc throughout the area. Beware, the tornado will move randomly throughout the area. It also has the capability of outrunning most vehicles and darting from one side of the storm to the other with great speed. The tornado is also capable of damaging any prop that enters it, bombs and other explosives tend to be triggered once they enter the funnel. I have disabled the tornado from directly damaging players simply because it was annoying and unrealistic. Beware, flying debris WILL HURT OR KILL YOU! I must note however that due to a Source Engine bug, I had to seriously lower the quality of the cloud particles. The reason why is because the original version of this addon has Z-sorting issues, in layman's terms the tornado would look far away when in reality it was right next to you. The particles might look ugly, but the performance and depth perception benefits were well worth it. If anyone knows a workaround to have transparency AND have the correct depth sorting, please contact me and I will update the mod straight away with credits of course.

How to use: Only on specific maps with high sky boxes and lots of land area will the addon work properly. To start the storm, simply go toward the center of the map in a low lying section and look straight down at the ground. Then, in your Gmod menu, go to Entities - Weather Mod - Super Storm. The storm will then appear and grow automatically.

Here is a list of great maps that work perfectly with the Tornadoes:

gm_construct_flatgrass_v6-2: http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=104468359 (One of the biggest maps I know the tornado mod works with and has train tracks for train vs. tornado scenarios.)

gm_construct is now compatible. It has a high skybox and the storm will spawn correctly, however since there is limited land area, the tornado may get stuck on the walls of the map. It will correct itself eventually.

How to remove: I've made that part easy, just remove / undo the super storm and the wall cloud / tornado will automatically despawn. There is no need to grab the remover tool and deal with a bunch of lua errors. :D

BUGS:
1. If the tornado appears to be floating, make sure you are in a low area in the map. A good example is gm_flatgrass. Do not spawn the tornado on the roof of the center building, instead spawn the tornado on the ground.

2. If the tornado appears to be stuck on the edge of the map, it will eventually disappear and reappear again. Make sure your map is large enough to fit the storm and/or try to spawn the storm in the center of the map to make sure the tornado has the maximum amount of room to move in.

3. Possible bug: The addon was designed to only spawn one storm / tornado at a time. If you spawn more than one storm, multiple tornadoes will form. Lag and lua errors can happen if you spawn more than one storm, you have been warned.

4. DO NOT TOUCH the helicopter bombs. They are markers of where the storm / wall cloud / and tornado entities are located, and if you move them, problems like crashes, glitches, and errors can occur.

Of course, if there are any serious bugs, please report them. Please note that I am not a serious lua coder, I may or may not be able to fix all bugs. As stated above, the particles may look ugly and if you can create better ones, just contact me.

And above all else, ENJOY this long awaited addon for Gmod 13.

UPDATE 1: Due to high demand, I re-added the transparent particles. There will now be 2 versions of the Super Storm. The high quality version will look better but will render wierdly, but the code is vanilla, so don't blame me for messing it up.

UPDATE 2: I went through quite a bit of testing, and I ironed out a lot of lua bugs by adding validation checks. The checks may delay the storm from spawning the smoke particles immediately, but they will show up eventually. Hopefully this will fix the majority of the lua errors. Also, more maps should work better without errors, such as gm_construct. I also made the Super Storm entity admin spawnable only to prevent spamming. Lastly I corrected the kill icon for lightning.

These updates are progressing smoothly in my opinion, and as always please report by copy / paste any lua errors in the comments.

Whenever I try to spawn the tornado exactly in the middle and looking at the ground, it spawns the helicopter bomb in the sky but instead of spawning anything it just spams me with lua errors until the game crashes.
