Defenses Expanded

Description

A collection of fortifications from throughout history. Includes my [1.0] Razor Wire (With Damage) mod, built in.

Additionally, while I have not packaged it with this mod because I am not the original creator, I also recommend the excellent Palisades mod, originally created by Undereastern and recently updated by me.

[1.0] Palisades -

Features -

Gabions:
Recipe: 5 x Wood
Health: 250

Hollow, usually cylindrical structures constructed from wicker or wood, the use of gabions for military and civil engineering purposes dates back centuries. Stood on end and packed with earth, rocks, or other locally available material, they provide a reasonable degree of protection against incoming fire. A precusor to the modern sandbag, while their wooden construction makes them lightweight and portable, it leaves them vulnerable to incendiary weapons.

Hesco Barriers:
Recipe: 1 x H-Barrier Cell (2 x Steel, 4 x Chemfuel)
Health: 475

Also known as a “Hesco bastion” or “h-barrier,” the Hesco barrier is a modernized gabion, consisting of a cubic structure made of steel wire and a heavy-duty liner. Each cell stands roughly nine feet tall, and multiple cells can be stacked to create robust walls. Though they still need to be packed with sand or soil, they are much faster to construct than a sandbag structure of equivalent size. Widely used for both military and engineering purposes. Once completed, the barriers are resistant to both gunfire and explosions, making them useful for the construction of perimeter walls and bunkers. Available in desert tan and olive drab.

T-wall:
Recipe: 8 x Steel
Health: 600

Also known as Bremer walls, T-walls are modular barriers made of reinforced concrete. Standing nearly twelve feet tall, they are practically impossible to scale, and are designed to withstand both direct fire as well as explosions. The barriers offer a compromise between cheaper, weaker masonry walls, and strong, but extremely expensive reinforced concrete walls.

Razor Wire:
An evolution of barbed wire, concertina wire is named for its helical shape and tendency to expand—resembling a musical instrument of the same name. It is generally made of two wires, a stronger, un-barbed support wire and a length of razor tape with sharp, pointed barbs produced in several different lengths. The result is a self-supporting wire structure that can quickly be deployed to create a formidable obstacle to infantry. Cheaper to deploy than a traditional wire-and-stake fence and simple to manufacture on an industrial scale, its low cost and lightweight make it ideal for fortifications and portable field defenses.

Concertina Wire Obstacle:
Recipe: 1 x Spool of Concertina Wire
Health: 150; Damage: 6 (55% chance); Blunt damage resistance: 15%; Explosive damage vulnerability: 200%.

A basic entanglement consisting of a single coil of razor wire anchored in place. Cheap and extremely quick to install, its light weight and ease of deployment make it excellent for outer perimeters and temporary encampments. While it can still be crossed with some difficulty, it still poses an obstacle to infantry and leaves them exposed to incoming fire. Though difficult to damage without the proper tools, it is vulnerable to explosives, making a single line of obstacles insufficient to significantly hinder an enemy advance.

Concertina Wire Barricade:
Recipe: 3 x Spool of Concertina Wire
Health: 350; Blunt damage resistance: 20%; Explosive damage vulnerability: 175%.

A razor wire fence rising to almost chest height, it is constructed from three coils of wire stacked on top of one another in a pyramid-shape and anchored securely in place. While more time-consuming to build, it poses a formidable barrier that the enemy cannot pass cross without first creating a breach, making it useful for creating perimeter fences, prisoner holding areas, or temporary field works.

Hey there, @N7Huntsman. I've updated the mod patch included with this to add support for Wemd's "Simple Concrete" mod, based on the patches for other mods already included.

Here is the new patch operation to insert into the file https://pastebin.com/zmyV1GQ1 . Hope this helps!
