Dangerous Hazards

Описание
Do you think the natural hazards in the game are too pitiful? Tired of being able to walk through lasers and bathe in acid like it's just a normal day? Well, this is the mod for you.

This mod significantly increases the effects of weather and hazards, even adding some new ones in a few cases.

-All acid effects increased by at least x5. (Rain is bugged currently, still at x1 until the devs fix it)
-The lasers in Venge hurt WAY more than normal. It's very unlikely you will survive a direct hit from one without protection, so be cautious.
-Functional lightning in the Deadlands. It is attracted to metal, and does serious damage if it hits you.
-Toxic Gas added to the Deadlands and Fog Islands. Large and very slow moving clouds of gas that block passages in their biomes, forcing you to have protection or find other routes. Fogmen are immune.
-Steam vents in the Deadlands. Occasional vents of hot steam that erupt from the ground in the Deadlands.
-Any locations that normally have rain can now sometimes have thunderstorms, with functional lightning. People indoors are immune.

I am not responsible for any loss of life that occurs from random acts of nature/doomsday weapons. Enjoy! ;)

what counts as metal? any plate or chain armour, weapons, skeletons, and prosthetics?

No, I gave fogmen gas immunity, so they can live freely there in the gas clouds.

As for what counts as metal? No clue honestly. FCS claims it tracks metal, but does not elaborate on how it works. It might be as simple as tracking metal content on items, like how the furnace works to salvage metal. It might only track ground metal content, like from resource nodes. It might be some other unknown algorithm. Or it might even not work at all. You never really know with Kenshi honestly.

It's fine for the most part, burning protection just became mandatory. it is rather funny to see group fighting and getting zapped because a skeleton was in the fight as well

Technically, lightning is an aoe hazard, with a small radius and short lifespan. So yes, if your fast enough to run through the bolt after it struck, you'll still take damage.

Though it also sounds like you have the mod mentioned below, which accidentally buffs lightning. As that was way too much damage.

Ok so as i understand you don't really need to get directly hit by lightning. My turbo fast amazon prime delivery courier ran past the lighting and took measly 1.5k damage.

that would be it LOL yeah ill just open up kenshi mod tool and tone down the dmg manually then, i love the fact it exists so much

Do you have the "Advanced Combat Rules" mod? It's been known to interact poorly with the mod, drastically increasing lightning damage.

lightning instantaniously vaporized my full hp 90 statted masterwork armor hive soldier leaving there hp bars at -150+ dead immedietly
