Description
Tweaking and expanding Utopia.
Requires Stellaris: Utopia DLC.

*** MEGASTRUCTURES
This mod includes specialised habitats and a huge terraforming world-shell.

Genesis Initiator
World-shapers can construct this around uninhabitable barren and frozen worlds. There are 3 stages and then the planet is turned into a living, breathing planet, capable of sustaining whatever life-forms you see fit to deposit on it.

Habitat Variants
Whilst Voidborne will make all the variants available, they can all be alternatively unlocked by a combination of technologies. Except the Advanced Habitat, which is only unlocked with Voidborne.
  • Habitat (Vanilla)
    12 tiles. Requires: Voidborne or Orbital Habitats tech.
  • Hydroponics Hab
    9 tiles. Specialises in food production. Usually limited to construction around a planet rich in biomass and water.
    Requires: Voidborne OR Orbital Habitats tech OR Gene Crops & Fusion Power technologies.
  • Mining Operations Hab
    9 tiles. Specialises in minerals production. Usually limited to construction around an uninhabitable ringed planet or an uninhabitable planet with an appropriate orbital deposit.
    Requires: Voidborne OR Orbital Habitats tech OR Mineral Processing & Fusion Power technologies.
  • Solar Farming Hab
    9 tiles. Specialises in energy production. Usually limited to construction around a star.
    Requires: Voidborne OR Orbital Habitats tech OR Global Energy Management & Fusion Power & Ceramo-metal Armour & Improved Deflectors technologies.
  • Advanced Habitat
    25 tiles. Requires: Voidborne.

There is now an Orbital Habitats technology that can potentially be researched before/without taking the Voidborne perk.

*** ASCENSION PERKS
Lots of changes to Ascension Perks to make them less rubbish and more game-changing. Please see the slideshow for details.

Three new ascension perks have been added:

Land of Plenty
Begin a new chapter in our nation's history by turning our planets into living Elysiums and truly achieving the goal of prosperity for all.

Colonial Fervor
Escape the confines of our home planet and allow our species to achieve its destiny as it spreads across the galaxy.

Multiculturalist Utopia
Attract the best talent from across the galaxy to join our project towards a multicultural utopia.

*** CIVICS
Just the one right now, but a few more are planned.

Orbital Ambitions
Provides a basic habitat in orbit of your homeworld at game-start, and unlocks the Orbital Habitats tech for building basic habitats at game-start.

*** COMPATIBILITY
This mod modifies the following vanilla files:
common/ascension_perks/00_ascension_perks.txt
common/edicts/03_planetary_edicts.txt
common/megastructures/03_think_tank.txt
common/megastructures/habitats.txt

If another mod over-rides one of these, it's unlikely to be compatible with this mod. Other mods don't list the files they over-ride. Ask the author of that mod about compatibility with this before asking me about compatibility. Please don't take my availability for granted.

Works with v2.0.x and v2.1 of the game.
Does not need/works with/not included in AlphaMod.

However, it no longer includes the civic, due to the changes to how planets and habitats work, and further changes in 2.4 and 2.5 will also have changed other things since 2.3, making that versions features likely flakey as well.

Huh.. well overall it still seems to work somewhat decently? I mean, I can't find anything or notice anything out of place other than those wierd glitch things in the megastructure build-list.

The weird glitch and random things is because the mod doesn't work with 2.5. It works with 2.0.x and 2.1 versions of the game.

It doesn't work with 2.5.1. The habitats have tiles, which 2.5 doesn't have anymore.

It works with 2.5.1 from what I can see, just a wierd glitch with megastructure menu of building and shows those random things...

Also in the blurb there's a section titled Compatibility. In that you'll see this: "Works with v2.0.x and v2.1 of the game."

Those numbers in the brackets after the name of the mod tell you which version this mod is compatible with.

So, with the Orbital Ambition Civic, is it supposed to cost nothing to build? My game seems to give the ability to build them without needing ANY resources, and it also seems to have several other 'megastructures' that are titled 'potential', '}', and other random things like that..
