Siralim 2 has some very interesting strategy and progression, but a lot of it is hidden behind a large amount of grinding. If you don't mind grinding, and some balancing issues, this game is for you.

One of the best mixes between RTS and RPG out there. Not the most balanced RTS, or the deepest RPG, but it is a heck of a lot of fun.

Completely unique strategy game. There are tons of interesting playstyles, and a lot of cool mechanics. If you can get past the graphics, you have to try it.

More XCOM tactical greatness along with some cool new features, but also a lot of not-so-cool bugs

Aarklash is near perfect in terms of tactical combat. Most of the abilities are interesting and have meaningful upgrades. My only complaint is that it is linear.

The mechanics and progression in this game are better than in 90% of RPGs that I've played. Add in 4 or 5 episodes worth of top notch South Park humor, and you get a fantastic game.

Prison Architect will surprise you with how good it is. The prison simulation aspect is outstanding. If you "lose" you become a prisoner and the game becomes a fairly interesting party-based RPG

This game is special. There is nothing else quite like it. If you don't mind roguelike games, buy it!

Fun tactical combat along with interesting RPG mechanics in an immersive post-apocalyptic world. Better balancing and a more open world would have made this game a must-buy.
