Why Early Access?

“Bright Red Skies will contain five complete storylines that can be explored based on the decisions the you make, where each storyline will have multiple endings. The game will release with one fully completed storyline which is about 15 hours worth of content.

One storyline contains a full adventure from start to end, and is essentially a completed game in itself. Early access lets us release the game to get better feedback on what we can do to improve the game while having enough content so you're not feeling unsatisfied or left with a cliffhanger ending.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“About two years”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“In terms of gameplay mechanics, the full version and Early Access version will be fairly identical. The difference is that the full version will have five full storylines, each with multiple endings, whereas the Early Access version will release with only one of these storylines.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version will release with the following features:

  • Two storylines, each with multiple endings based on your decisions
  • Tactical turn-based combat
  • Large cast of recruitable characters, each with their own special ability
  • Weapon upgrading system
  • Cooking
  • Fishing
  • Mini-games!

Work on the third, fourth, and fifth storylines are in very early development.”

“The full release of the game is planned to be priced higher than the Early Access version.”

About This Game

Bright Red Skies is a story driven post-apocalyptic tactical turn-based JRPG where you make decisions that affect the story.

Embark on a journey as Yarden, the leader of a small group of scouts living in Dosero, a settlement that's struggling to survive. After returning from a mission to see Dosero in ruin, you must decide: travel the wastelands in search of a new place to call home, or embark on a quest for revenge.

  • Create various squad compositions, selecting leaders that complement each other
