Why Early Access?

“The open playtests showed us that the Reign of Guilds makes much more progress when we actively interact with the community and work with the feedback we receive. Besides, short, sporadic playtests do not give solutions to many other problems. Hence, we decided to enter a new uninterrupted development phase with tight communication with our community.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“About 12-16 months. The release is expected in the summer-fall of 2025. We think that should be enough to develop all the previously envisioned mechanics, including the changes based on the community’s feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“During the Early Access, we are gradually adding new mechanics that will significantly increase the scale of players' influence on life in Dwarrhan:
* In-game events.
* Countsб County ownership, taxes, investments, regulations for loot and mining.
* The King, royal tax, and royal Arena.

As well as we are adding new content that leverages the existing game mechanics: T2+ counties, new castles and locations, T6+ game items, and new vocation abilities.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“We’ve implemented the core mechanics that you can read about below in the “About This Game” section. The game has densely packed starting locations and 4 counties (T1) in Dwarrhan Kingdom. These include 8 settlements, 12 castles, a decent amount of PvE content, over 2000 game items, more than 800 quests, about 100 Vocation abilities, several types of crafting, and taxes paid to the castle owners.

We’ve come a long way to get to the current version of the game. It is a great result for our indie studio that during the open playtests our players spent 70k+ hours in the game, even despite the rather modest coverage.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We don’t plan to change the price of the game.”

CASTLE SIEGES AND MASSIVE BATTLES BETWEEN GUILDS
Guilds can capture castles. Castle owners can regulate the tax that players traveling nearby have to pay.
Castles are desirable targets and defending a castle from other guilds is not an easy task, only the strongest guilds can withstand it. Tough competition results in large-scale PvP battles between the players. Join an existing guild or try your luck and create your own.



DYNAMIC SELF-REGULATING ECONOMY
Reign of Guilds has a self-balancing economy: prices of NPC traders and quest-givers follow the law of supply and demand. Players are incentivized to explore distant lands away from overpopulated cities. Travels to remote traders are highly rewarded with higher profits.

Game prices adapt to players' behavior therefore well-known ways of making money quickly become less profitable and players always have to try something new — the same as in real-life business.



PVE AND PVP BALANCE
Despite it is always possible to start a fight, there is an economic incentive to befriend other players rather than make enemies. Fights in the open world could be rather expensive, moreover, if somebody behaves badly they become a desirable target for headhunters.

Unrestricted PvP is featured in special "black zones", Arenas, and castles. PvP is switched off in cities and on the tutorial island.



DEMANDING OPEN WORLD WITH LOTS OF HIDDEN GAME MECHANICS.
Many game mechanics are hidden and ought to be discovered by players with the help of careful observations and trial-and-error experimentation. With the real-life economy, it creates infinite variability of play.
