The game Shards of the Realm offers a unique experience, combining elements of turn-based tactical RPGs and an open world in a fantasy setting. An integral and important part of the gameplay is also the mechanics of building and managing your own fortress.

The demo version of the game has only one limitation compared to the full version: the time in each game session is limited to six in-game months. However, there are no restrictions on the number of new games.

During this time, the player can become familiar with almost all of the game's mechanics, including exploration, crafting, and tactical battles on various maps, including dungeons. The only event that is unlikely to occur is the demonic sieges, which are an important part of mid/end-game content.

The game features over 50 different researches, more than 200 items, and over 40 skills, party vehicles with different properties. How much of this content will be available to the player depends only on the player.

A bit about the game

Tactical battles include a range of mechanics that allow players to gain a tactical advantage over the enemy, such as:

• Different types of armor based on the direction of the attack

• Elevations and cover for positioning in battle

• A waiting mode where characters can attack even out of turn

• Opportunity attacks based on the characters' line of sight

• An action points system instead of predefined moves and attacks, offering greater variability in tactical actions.

The game is divided into two main modes: turn-based battles and the global map. In battles, there are 4 classes and 8 subclasses of characters available, a cover system, and a destructible environment, multiclassing option.

On the global map, players interact with factions (diplomacy/war), explore a living, evolving world, gather resources, trade, complete quests, and build and manage their fortress. There is also the possibility of completely destroying faction cities. Unique recipes obtained in dungeons, and much more.
