About This Demo

In this demo, players will be able to experience the full interactive tutorial that will teach the core mechanics of the game, as well as touch upon some strategic possibilities. 

Furthermore, demo players will be able to try out playing the real online game with other players during scheduled events that can be found in our Discord. 

The Tutorial is divided into 3 chapters:

  • Chapter 1 teaches the basic mechanics around movement, player UI, day/night cycles, different factions and roles, completing tasks, and how the voting round works. 

  • Chapter 2 dives deeper into specific character abilities and teaches players how to use the many in-game mechanics to solve murders and find out who the killers are. Players will also learn about the Safe Zone and its features. 

  • Chapter 3 gives players their first taste of what it's like to be the killer, and how they can still be a valuable asset to their team after being killed. It also shows the player how the unique Werewolf character is player.

Throughout Steam Next Fest, Castle of Blackwater will host daily online playing sessions, where all demo users will be able to temporarily play the full game, or watch one of our in-house streamers play it on Twitch. Core team members will also be playing during these times, and the full timetable of live events will be updated in our Discord channel!
