What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Usually use pre-made multiplayer packages, while it's a lot easier it wasn't ideal because you didn't know how things were working which meant it would be difficult to fix and add things.

BUT THIS TIME THAT ISN'T THE CASE!

Programmed and figured out how most the multiplayer stuff works including Voice Chat, Server/Host/Client, syncing stuff and et cetera.
Which means things might be buggy but it will be simple to fix, and can add stuff easier now.

THATS WHY YOU (YES YOU!) ARE NEEDED TO HELP WITH THIS

So you can test things and suggest missing features and such and things of that nature. Plus you'll be able to see what it's like to be in a society and if there's a bug or something you can shake your head and say "We live in a society" which will be funny every single time.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“2-5 Months? It's pretty easy to make models, animate, design locations and texture because of the graphical style.

Will use pre-made models and textures for generic stuff like trees, props and things no one really pays attention to. Like when's the last time you looked at a rock in a game and was like wow, what a rock.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Stuff that's not currently in-game but planned. Also possible stuff.

Planned Stuff:

  • More locations, items, monsters, events
  • Achievements
  • Cloud Saves
  • Gaining experience and Player Levels
  • A Talent Tree* (Or something similar to select talents)
  • Character customization (like hats and such)
  • Things to use collected cash with
  • Public Lobbies

Possible Stuff:

  • Modding Support
  • Full Controller Support and Inputs
  • In-Game Wiki/Bestiary
  • Different Languages

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Currently has most multiplayer features, host/client setup, a full game loop, different types of locations, monsters, items and equipment.

Will start adding more things after previous things are working well. Didn't want to add a bunch of stuff only to see it wasn't working and would have to go back and fix/delete it all or start over.

So it will be like this: Add Something -> Make Sure It Works Well -> Add More Advanced of that Something

Comprende?

Also the points and experience you collect won't be saved in case there are any bugs or exploits with them. It will be activated when things are balanced.

ALSO the UI graphics will probably be finished last since they change a lot.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“It will probably be more expensive as more things are added as it would be a bigger game you see.

Can get suggestions for price changes when content updates happen. (Too cheap, too expensive, just right, etc. etc.)”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Need help with feedback, testing, what things work and what doesn't, balancing, features. Will post videos and pics on social media and Steam. Will use Youtube, TikTok, Twixter, and Instagram. Oh and OnlyFans.

ALSO YOU CAN STREAM ON SITES LIKE TWITCH BUT MAKE SURE YOU SAY IT'S EARLY ACCESS. Don't be like "this is the full game chat lmao XDDDDDDDD" But do say "We live in a society" if anything goes wrong in-game because as stated above it will be funny every time.

BUT if you stream and/or make a video post it somewhere on Steam Forums or where ever so it can be watched (and judged (harshly))

Will use Discord if others want to make a server, set it up and moderate it cause I ain't not want to.”

About This Game

You may have heard of it, tales, whispers, warnings.. But have you ever considered participating in a society?

Well now's your chance, put on your clown suit and see how long you and your friends would survive in this chaotic realm.

  • Play solo or with your friends as a group up to 4. Use proximity voice chat, text, or vague emoting to communicate with other clowns.

  • Explore every strange part of society including grocery shopping, kindergarten, the park, crossing the street, fast food jobs, the coal mines, birthday parties and many more.

  • Face off against the bizarre denizens like Consumers, Blind Dates, Ducks, Librarians, Floating Brains, Gremlins or the seemingly harmless Normie.

  • The further you travel into society the more dangerous it becomes but also, better rewards.

  • Different events and locations will randomly appear depending on your karma, collected relics, difficulty and actions you take.

  • Gain experience and money that will help you on future treks.

  • Use the Neet Mobile to travel, store equipment and relics, discuss strategy or take a break from the horror.
