What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Text Your Life is an episodic game, and every chapter starts its developing phase right after the previous one has been released.
Still, we believe that the fun part of creating an interactive fiction game is not just completing it: every step of the way matters. And for that reason, we want to share it with all players.

Our main goals:
-Receive feedback about every chapter, so we can adapt and fix its content with the players' help. Remember that already published chapters may undergo some changes.
-Involve the players in the development, and enjoy the progress of the story with you all!”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Text Your Life will be on early access until every chapter has been completely developed. The full game will have a total of 10 chapters (Common route: chapters 1-4. Specific love interest’s route: chapters 5-10).
We plan to finish the development of the full game in about 3 years, but every chapter will be published as soon as it is finished.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full game will have a total of 10 chapters (Common route: chapters 1-4. Specific love interest’s route: chapters 5-10). The early acces version will only give the player access to Chapter 1 + Day 1 of Chapter 2 for now (the rest of Chapter 2 is in development).
The story may also undergo some adjustments and corrections as the game progresses, or more visuals or sound effects may be added.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“For now, only Chapter 1 + Day 1 of Chapter 2 is available, both in English and Spanish. The rest of Chapter 2 is still in development.
Every feature of the game is implemented (see game description), but only the content of the first chapter and part of the second chapter of the story is available.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. Once Text Your Life is fully developed, the game will go from free to paid. The price is yet to be determined.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We are open to any type of feedback, opinion, criticism, suggestion... that helps us improve Text Your Life. You can send us this feedback through any means: forums, reviews, emails, social media, etc.”

About This Game

As a second-year Law student with a part-time job at the Catal Café, you might as well end up going bald from stress. Fortunately, you can keep in touch with your peculiar group of friends and Daniel, your long-distance boyfriend, through your favorite messaging app (😉). They help you see the fun side of your busy life, as well as keep every hair in its place (or not).

Now you've just moved out of home and into your new apartment, and everyone knows that means... party time! Music, alcohol, laughter, kisses... Wait, what?! Kisses?! Your memories are blurry, but somehow you clearly recall the feeling of someone's lips on yours. A warm and pleasant feeling. Hold on!! Pleasant!? 😳

Who did you kiss that night? Will you be able to find out with the help of your girlfriends-turned-detective? How will that kiss affect your relationship with Daniel? And most importantly - how much does a good wig cost 😱?

Text Your Life is a mobile phone chat simulator that lets you put yourself in the shoes of our protagonist, a female university student with a group of eccentric friends and a love life that has suddenly turned somewhat... complicated.

-Play as if it were a real messaging app. Chat, receive and make calls, browse the profiles of your contacts...

-Shape the protagonist's personality with every choice you make, as well as her level of affinity with every character. Your personality and your choices will affect the course of the story.

-The complete game will have a total of 10 chapters (Common route: chapters 1-4. Specific love interest’s route: chapters 5-10).

7 different routes, and 6 unique love interests. Will you continue your relationship with Daniel, or will you catch feelings for someone else? Surely you won't end up in a love triangle with two best friends, right...?

-Only Chapter 1 + Day 1 of Chapter 2 is available for now, with more than 47,000 words of content and roughly 390 choices (about 4,5 hours for playthrough). Make a choice every 20 messages at most! Already finished the available content? Play again and change your choices to experience completely different playthroughs!

-This game was originally written in Spanish, and it's been completely translated into English.
