Who is behind Betrayed?

We are Nils and Sascha, 2 friends with a passion for game development in Unreal Engine. We have worked on 15+ small ideas and projects in the past and with Betrayed we have finally created a game fulfills our expectation for quality and reliability. For this reason we have officially founded our studio "Almost Good Games" and decided to release Betrayed on Steam with the hope to offer entertainment and fun for fellow gamer while also collection feedback on how to improve the game further.

We try to be as transparent and open as possible and would love to get your feedback on our work. We have created social media accounts on all major platforms as well as an official Discord you can join. We are active on all those platforms by our self. If you get a reply it is directly from Nils or me, not a marketing agency. In our opinion staying in close communication with the gaming community is what makes or breaks a game and we want Betrayed to make it.

About This Game

Dive into the ultimate deception with our adrenaline-pumping party shooter, Betrayed! Gather your friends for a heart-pounding experience where trust is a luxury and betrayal is the name of the game.

With roles assigned randomly, players must navigate the chaos as either an innocent, fighting to survive until the round ends, or a traitor, aiming to eliminate all innocents before time runs out. Communication is key, as Betrayed features proximity and global voice chat, allowing players to strategize, accuse, and deceive in real-time.

Become a master of deception as you lie, manipulate, and work your way into the trust of others. Will you maintain your innocence or cunningly reveal your traitorous nature? The choice is yours, but be wary – the stakes are high, and every word matters.

Earn "BC" based on your performance, unlocking a variety of tools and weapons for the traitor each round. Choose your arsenal wisely to outsmart and outgun your unsuspecting friends. Explore diverse and immersive maps, from the corporate chaos of the office to the lawless landscapes of a western town or the relaxing views from a lonely island.


Betrayed delivers endless hours of laughter, suspense, and unforgettable moments with 3 to 16 players. Gather your crew, sharpen your wits, and prepare for a gaming experience like no other. We have taken the concept of much loved mods and turned it into a game that is easy to start for everyone. No need for file editing, server setups or management. Simply start the game, create or join a lobby and you are good to go. For each game you will be able to fully customize your experience: Amount of rounds, round length, map selection, kill/win rewards and much more.




Our customizer will give you the ability to create a unique character to show off your style. It features the ability to freely color each clothing item as well as adding masks and hats to your outfit.




Betrayed will start with 5 unique maps at release with an additional map being released every month for the first 5 months after release. With this we want to show our commitment to long term support and updates for the game and ensure fresh content for our players. This also includes more items for the character customizer to ensure that you will have an ever growing selection to create your perfect style.




And to finish off the full game experience we have added voice chat right into the game. So no more organizing and muting on Discord.
You will have the option between proximity or global voice chat. Either way you will get a main voice channel for active players as well as a second channel in which killed/dead players can continue to talk, comment on the ongoing game an wait for the round to finish. Killed players will also be able to watch the game via spectator mode and draw their own conclusions who the traitor might be.



First: Don't buy the game for anything we promise in the future. We understand that a lot of games on Steam promise you the stars and never deliver and we believe that you deserve better. Instead: Wishlist Betrayed, stay informed about updates and join our Discord or social media for more info so that once we deliver on our promise, you can pull the trigger and grab Betrayed for you and your friends. With that being said, here is what we have planned for Betrayed:
- Continuous fixing of bugs and issues
- UI language localization
- More character customizer items like clothing, hair, beards, masks, and hats
- More unique maps (beyond the planned 10)
- Additional roles like the "Joker" and "Inspector"
- Additional weapons
- Additional traitor weapons and tools
- ADS support
- Much, much more! Our Backlog currently has 100+ tickets for ideas and improvements.

You will be able to use "low poly" stylized guns and rifles in Betrayed to shoot at other players or NPC animals like chickens. There might be stylized blood visible when doing so.

Shooting other players is part of the game mechanics and needed to "win" the round.
