Why Early Access?

“Given the intent of the game is to master real quantum computing through puzzles, we are still working on the difficulty of each level and player feedback is crucial to get it right. We aim to start e-sports like tournaments in quantum computing and to achieve this we must grow our player base, listen to the requests coming from those who finish the game and are ready for competitive play, and design additional game modes to accommodate for it.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“It can be anywhere between 3 months to a full year, given what sort of requests we get from the community.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to add:
- Axiom Trials: trivia like dialogues with the Sages on quantum physics topics
- Additional puzzles that expand on the core experience
- Improvements to what we show on the puzzle completion metrics.
- Additional tools for designing quantum puzzles.
- Weekly/ Monthly tournament play modes”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game has underwent closed beta and is fully playable. Over 50 levels with more than 20 hours of content, a sandbox mode (quantum simulator), complete story, collectibles, infinite community designed end game content to enjoy.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, we offer a discounted price for those who buy it during Early Access and contribute to improving our game.”

Quantum Odyssey will get you to understand and eventually become an expert in quantum computing: discover how qubit works, why they differ from bits and go all the way to designing insanely complex quantum algorithms that scientists haven't yet discovered. All the stuff you need is inside the game. You don't need to know how to code or understand linear algebra anymore to discover real quantum computing.
