Exclusive audio deep dive for Escape from Ever After releasing November 4th!

We’re happy to announce that Escape from Ever After will be at Save & Sound starting November 4th!

Save & Sound is an online music festival with sales and demos on Steam. Come celebrate headbanging soundtracks as well as unique implementations of music and audio in games.

We’ll be participating in the festival with an audio deep dive.

Combat Timing

Hey! Just checked the game out and really like what's on offer so far. Visuals are excellent, music is jazzy, and story is fun! If I do have a piece of feedback, though, it's that the timing for some combat elements, like blocking, catching the buckler, Tinder's headbutt, etc. are far too precise. Almost feels like they require frame accuracy, and with some enemy attacks having very weird timing, particularly the flying eggs, this can make things very frustrating. Animations are wonky which makes the already janky action command timing even more janky.

The developers need to seriously look at Paper Mario and understand why the action command system was so fun in that. Because it was clear when you had to press it just by looking at the animation, and the timing and clarity of the animations allowed to pull it off. For instance, why the ♥♥♥♥ is the basic attack timing on return? If it was for a special move then fine, but when you're already copying Paper Mario right down to the villain's personality (Obviously Bowser) , then at least copy the good parts ...

Great Demo but please make option for deactivating sfx in textbox.

I really like the Demo. The Papermario reference is clear as day but it doesn't really bother me as I like the humor so far. :D But please add ann option to toggle sfx while textboxes. I never liked it and feel it's odd that it's not an Option already as the game seems polished. Afterall you seem to use UE 4 (I suppose) and don't have any hitches, stutters etc......
