Why Early Access?

“This is the first release of our app, and we still have some bugs to fix and features to polish up. In particular, we're working on refining some features, such as improving mouth tracking on our avatars, and adding some additional features and art styles to our character creator. We plan to release the full version of the app with more features and allow everyone to live stream onto Twitch from the ego app itself.

We would also love to hear from the community and see how people like it, and take feedback into account when we're ready for the first official release, and add features voted for by the community along the way :)”

Approximately how long will this software be in Early Access?

“8-10 months”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to release a more diverse range of avatar styles, deeper customization options and better face/mouth tracking. We will also allow users to bring in their own 3D rigged avatar models.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“We have a 3D rigged, anime style character creator for character customization and face tracking. We also have custom video and photo backgrounds you can use to customize your stream background, and virtual camera setup to be easily stream as your avatar on zoom or discord.”

Will this software be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No. Ego will always be free.”
