Hvorfor tidlig tilgang?

«As a team of 2 it is very difficult to release a full finished product without the help of the community. While the demo will be available for free and will include the full first act of the game, anyone who chooses to continue to play past the first act can do so and help fund the development of the game. The difficulty and level of the monsters in the first act included in the demo do scale up infinitely with distance but the only way to progress the story and see new biomes is in the Early Access release of the game.»

Hvor lenge antas det at dette spillet vil være i tidlig tilgang?

«While it's impossible to say exactly how long it will take to completely finish the game. Our plan is to develop this game until we feel we have reached the point where we can happily say this this feels like a complete game. The game is first releasing as a single player game but we plan on adding co-op multiplayer as soon as possible and PvP multiplayer after we feel we have reached a good balance with the co-op. We still plan to provide regular updates past the date of actual release due to the multiplayer nature of the game. At the pace that we are developing the game (Started June 2023), we believe it shouldn't take any longer than a year to have all story acts in the game and a fully functioning multiplayer system. We hope to have a demo out within the next month.»

Hvordan er det planlagt at fullversjonen skal være forskjellig fra versjonen i tidlig tilgang?

«We plan on having 5 acts in the the full version, and with the early access version, each act will become available as they are completed. We plan on the first 4 acts being primarily single player and co-op focused where the fifth act is a PvP zone for higher level end game activity. We plan on changing current game assets to higher quality and more visually appealing assets over time as funds become available to do so. Assets are the current part of the game that is the biggest hurdle as we are currently getting all assets from the Unity store. Both of us are programmers and game designers with just some photoshop skills but no blender skills, and we need funds to acquire higher fidelity character models and other visual assets in the game.»

Hva er nåværende tilstand for versjonen i tidlig tilgang?

«The game is currently in development and will first release as a Demo for free that includes act 1. Once Act 2 is ready, we will prepare for release of the Early Access version of the game. The game currently features player progression with leveling and monsters that scale in difficulty based on the distance that they are from the starting town, a drag and drop inventory system with equipment that you will find from defeating monsters to improve yourself as you progress through the game, a day night cycle with atmospheric lighting, a quest log with a compass that points you to your next quest, a shop to sell your loot and buy consumables, a dynamically spawned infinite world with randomly placed and statically placed landmarks to explore and loot, infinitely raising difficulty that increases the further that you go. Vil spillet være priset annerledes under og etter tidlig tilgang?

«As more content is added to the game, it is possible that the price will slightly raise over time, though it will never reach the price that large studios have the right of putting on their games. We are a team of 2 and such, our labor is not at the same value as that of a larger company that needs to pay many employees.»

Hvordan planlegger dere å involvere samfunnet i utviklingsprosessen?

«We are open to all and any feedback that testers and players have for us. We want people to get involved with becoming testers and giving us feedback to make constant improvements to the game. One way to get involved with testing or with feedback or just following the development of the game is our discord. Come in and say hi and let us know what you think of our work so far and what you would like to see as a feature. We want this to be as feature rich as we possibly can make it without it becoming oversaturated with filler, so give us your ideas, and if we like it we will probably use it.»

The game is currently under development by Nicolas Nadeau (with help from RYRY77 early in development) as of June 21st 2023 on the Unity engine. Myth of the Moirai is a third-person ARPG with influences from Diablo, Vampire Survivors, Final Fantasy, Dungeons & Dragons and Elder Scrolls. The concept of Myth of the Moirai started as a "Vampire Survivors with WoW Camera and Diablo pacing, itemization, and character progression." but soon grew into much more when we implemented dynamic procedurally generated terrain, and the ability to add random "landmarks" and events to our infinite random world.






Myth of the Moirai will first release as a free demo, it will have Act 1 which will include 15 of these random landmarks and quests to complete as you gain levels as well as a Diablo style itemization system. The world is also filled with monsters that have it out for you, as soon as you leave town, you will immediately start getting chased down by the monsters that have overtaken this world, so mow them down and get stronger to fight the stronger enemies that lie ahead of you. Check out the gallery section of the discord to see some screenshots of the game in its current state. Finish Act 1 in the Demo and look out for the rest of the Acts and a PVP zone in the endgame.
