Why Early Access?

“Abyss Online has been in development and testing for nearly 2.5 years. The game started out as a MOBA originally in the winter of 2021. The game is in a pre-alpha state. We believe in being open and transparent so we will keep a free playtest and demo available that you can try before purchase.

As we move into Early Access we aim to expand our community and gather valuable feedback to refine and enhance the game. Our current focus is keeping the game servers running stable while implementing new mobs, dungeons, quests, PvP arenas, farming, building, and an open world territory conquest system.

Early Access provides a platform for players to directly interact with our development team, allowing them to influence the game's direction and prioritize fixes. It will help us produce a refined alpha launch later this year.”

“8 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The alpha version of Abyss Online will offer a more polished and content-rich experience. We plan to expand the open world, integrate an intricate crafting and building system, introduce more diverse mobs and dungeons, enrich the questline, and enhance PvP and PvE elements. Additionally, we are constantly optimizizing performance, improving UI/UX, and implementing community-driven features and improvements daily.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of Abyss Online features a small open world with a town, basic quests, crafting tables, open world building mechanics, a merchant showcase, and some initial mobs camps in a basic starter zone. PvP is available in the open world with full loot mechanics.

We are actively working on implementing content like fishing, shipbuilding, more in depth crafting, more interactive building, and polishing performance.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“During Early Access, Abyss Online will be offered at a reduced price to thank our early supporters and encourage new players to join the development journey. Upon full release, the price may increase to reflect the added content and improvements. Abyss is a B2P game with an optional subscription.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Our team is deeply committed to community engagement. We regularly stream development on our Discord channel and actively play the game with new players. Feedback and bug reports are logged and addressed promptly. We encourage open dialogue and suggestions from our community to shape the future of Abyss Online.”
