What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The build that will be released on Dec. 23rd, 2024 is the Early Access version and the player database will be deleted afterwards, we want to give players in our community extra time and a chance to experience the game early and provide any possible feedback they might have in order to improve the game experience.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“It will last for 2 weeks, it is our plan to release the Early Access version on Dec. 23rd, 2024, and it will last until Jan. 6th 2025.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The basic gameplay will explore deeper features. For example, in the Core section, upgrades will be added. Higher-level Cores can be upgraded to higher levels, gaining stronger attributes. The current version does not have the level system open.

The Exchange function will provide a resource trading system, but it is currently inaccessible.

More competitive events, different PvE modes, and other features are not yet available. (The reason these are not displayed in the game is to avoid misleading players. Before expanding the gameplay, we hope to gather feedback on the basic gameplay from players, which will help us decide whether to further develop these features.)”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access build is 95% complete, we are fine-tuning, fixing bugs, updating localization etc., but the main game for Early Access is complete and ready for release.

For the full version, there are still a lot of modules we will implement. In the following 3-6 months, there will be additional content added, refinement of details, and modifications based on test results. We are about 50% complete for the full version, and we will make an announcement for when that will be released.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“It is free to play and will remain the same.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We have a very strong Discord community of about 1.07 million members and 700K on X. We are constantly communicating with them, and they will be the first to know about the Early Access and will want to be a part of it. Our team directly communicates with them pretty much every second and report feedback to our development team for possible integrations.”

About This Game

Fusionist is a turn-based strategy game that offers depth and tactical gameplay. Players assemble a team of five mechs, each with unique skills and roles. By choosing different "Cores" and mech abilities, players can create their own unique "builds" to suit their playstyle, play in-game missions, or compete in intense PvP battles against other players.

Key Features:

Mech Builds and Skill Combinations:

One of the core gameplay features is mech building. Players can select different "Cores" and mech skills to design their ideal team. The game features three elemental types: Frozen, Burn, and Electric. By strategically combining these skills, players can trigger "chemical reactions," such as Frozen's crowd control effects, Burn's damage over time, or Electric's high chain-attack damage.

Diverse Class Roles:

There are five distinct classes in the game, each with unique abilities and tactical roles:

   - Striker: Excels in close combat, quickly closing the gap with enemies and disrupting their formations.

   - Keystone: Specializes in defense, using shield-based weapons to block incoming attacks and create space for teammates to deal damage.

   - Buster: Specializes in long-range bombardment, using heavy weaponry to anchor the team’s firepower.

   - Bullseye: A sniper class that excels at long-range attacks and can eliminate enemies from a distance.

   - Apostle: Provides backline support, specializes in control-type weapons, and acts as the team's tactical core.

Mech Forging and Upgrades:

The game features a gacha-like mech forging system where players collect blueprints and materials to craft new mechs. Each mech can be leveled up and enhanced with additional skills, allowing for further customization and improvement of their combat abilities.

Turn-Based Combat and Strategic Positioning:

The combat system is turn-based, requiring players to make tactical decisions based on the enemy's lineup and the flow of battle. The order of actions, skill choices, and positioning of mechs all influence the outcome of the battle, making strategic placement and real-time adjustments crucial.

PvP Battles:

A key aspect of the game is PvP combat. Players can challenge others from around the world in intense battles, testing the strength and synergy of their mechs. As players progress, they unlock higher-level features and rewards to enhance their gameplay experience.

Elemental Reactions and Tactical Depth:

The elemental system adds an extra layer of strategy to combat. Combining Frozen, Burn, and Electric skills can trigger powerful "chemical reactions" that change the course of the battle. For example, Burn and Electric combinations can cause widespread damage, while Frozen and Electric interactions can freeze enemies in place. This system ensures that every battle is full of potential strategies.
