Why Early Access?

“A Storm Unsung has been in development for sometime now. It feels like a complete experience and I, personally, find myself sometimes getting lost in playing it, even when I'm supposed to be testing X or Y thing.
We want ASU in the hands of players so you all may help us make it into the best game possible. We can test it ourselves a hundred thousand times, but I've found that no-one plays games the same way and every new player brings their own unique view of how a game should be.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The tentative plan is a year to a year and a half, this can of course change either way, depending on tons of variables.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Our plan is to add more content: levels, enemies, playable characters, etc. Essentially, barring some huge desired changes from the community, the plan is that ASU will simply be bigger and better upon full release.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Currently, all the planned features are implemented - see the Features Overview section below for more information. We've several other dungeons designed that we intend to add, and Castle Glass itself needs some work, but it is primarily missing some of the content that we would like it to have.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to increase the price on full release as it will be the complete experience at that point. The specifics of this haven't been determined.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We intend to take feedback through the Steam community areas and through places like our Discord channel to help improve ASU in ways that the community helps shape.”

About This Game

Adventure toward Castle Glass as one of a multitude of characters whose bloodlines all converge on one person - Saren Glass. You will fight through procedurally generated levels until your fated encounter with your distant relative.

A Tainted Bloodline


Those whose blood is bound to Glass are a varied bunch. Each relative is a different force to be reckoned with. Though you all come from varied backgrounds and each have your stories, each of you is bound to life by the malodorous magic that animates your ancestor. Some of you may find this a boon, but others are not so enthused about undeath.

A Safe Place


Every adventure starts from Riilavkava. This small hamlet lies just beyond the reach of the Storm's influence and serves as a base of operations for you. As shards of mana and the souls of the fallen are gathered, you will be able to rebuild and improve the settlement - possibly drawing the attention of others of your bloodline in the process.

A Singing Storm


The fell creature who once walked the land as Saren Glass had his soul torn asunder and anchored throughout the ever-shifting lands surrounding his ruined castle. With each subsequent success against him, more of his soul is lost, leaving more room for the heaving, boiling storm which animates him. This putrid magic seeps from him, uncontrollably, strengthening the fetid enchantments on the realm around him.

Randomized Dungeons: Explore dungeons that are never the same twice.
Multitude of Characters: Play as more than a dozen different descendants of Saren Glass.
Rebuild: Help to rebuild Riilavkava - increasing your own power and unlocking more allies.
Little Helpers: Rescue small bits of elemental magic - motes, which you can upgrade and bring with you on your travels.
Glass's Eyes: Running the content of each level is something of a bot that determines when and where to spawn the: enemies, tiles, and events that you will face.
