“As an indie studio, we need time to achieve a great game, especially while creating something unique. The game has strong technical foundations and aim to become a reference in the spaceship auto-battler genre. We think Early access will help make sure players that enjoy that specific genre are involved in its making, we really want enough depth to satisfy expectations of core gamers.”

“Considering the current size of the team, we expect it to be in early access for a couple years. Leading us for a full release hopefully by the end of 2025.”

“The full version should include a few more ancillary features, such as achievements, localisation, etc. It will also include much more content to have a high replayability. Depending on the game success, we would love to have a designer to reskin the entire game and give it a more polished finish.”

“After 3 years of active "nights and weekends" development by a small talented team we have most of the core technical features we want in the game. The game is playable and fairly stable albeit quite limited in content. Although, the way the game is structured will allow us to add content easily. We just aim to finish features first to avoid constantly redoing content as the structure change. The section "About this game" contains an exhaustive list of features the game currently offers along with planned features.”

In Star Armada you'll navigate the vast expanse of space, discovering new challenges and opportunities as you assemble your fleet. Customize your capital ships with a wide array of weapons, engines, shields, and special abilities, and prepare to face procedurally generated missions that keep the gameplay fresh and exhilarating.

  • Build and Customize Your Fleet: Assemble an armada of capital spaceships, each customizable with unique modules, upgrades, and abilities to match your playstyle and strategy.
  • Dynamic Auto-Battler Combat: Witness thrilling, automated space battles where your strategic choices and ship customizations determine the outcome.
  • Unleash Unique Abilities: You can turn the odds of victory in your favour by activating powerful abilities at the right time, giving you an edge in influencing a battle you normally have no control on.
  • Procedurally Generated Missions: Embark on semi-generated missions, ensuring a fresh and balanced experience with every playthrough.
  • Realistic scales: allowing for hundreds of fighters to be on screen while capital ships face each other in an epic encounter.
  • Smart AI: Squadrons of fighters fly together in formation. Turrets have predictive aiming and target priority matrices to fill out specific roles. You do not need to configure complex AI parameters to have a working armada, everything works out of the box so you can dive in the action.
  • Resource Management: Balance crew, mass, and energy as you equip your ships with reactors, engines, turrets, and more, creating strategic trade-offs and enhancing your fleet's performance.
  • Diverse Battlefields and Dynamic Events: Navigate hazardous environments, such as asteroid fields and nebulas, and encounter random events that can alter the course of battle.
  • Persistent Progression: Retain progression across playthroughs by unlocking new ships, turrets, and upgrades that become available in future runs, giving you each time the opportunity to grow a more powerful armada.

planned Feature

  • Persistance of damages: to reinforce the survival side of the game as you are fleeing an overwhelming force and the odds are against you.
  • Bigger armada: Currently the game allow up to 3 capital ships for the player, that number should grow to 7.
  • Drag-and-drop ship editor: We will revamp the ship editor for better usability.
  • Debris: Ships will have more realistic destruction sequences that leave debris on the battlefield.
  • Scrap system: scrap (the in-game currency) will need to be harvested from the battlefield and asteroids by automated drones. Giving more depth to the game economy.
  • Steam achievements: Needless to describe.
