Waarom vroegtijdige toegang?

'It's time to unleash the Monster Racing League to the world. We are at a stage where we want players to join the fun and help us improve and fine tune the gameplay.'

Hoelang blijft dit spel ongeveer in vroegtijdige toegang?

'We're expecting to be here in Early Access for three to four months. During this time we'll be gathering your feedback and working hard to bring you more features as the full game develops.'

Hoe gaat de volledige versie verschillen van de versie met vroegtijdige toegang?

'This Early Access version of the game has a limited set of features but still a substantial amount of gameplay and fun to be had. Our plans for full release are to expand on the Early Access foundations but have additional features such as:
  • All new abilities and boosters
  • All new tracks
  • New monsters and tribes
  • Full monster cosmetic customisation and shop
  • Cars, helmets, armour and other cosmetic items
  • New match types e.g. tournaments, team play, capture the flag

Wat is de huidige staat van de versie met vroegtijdige toegang?

'At Early Access release you’ll be able to play most of the core game. You’ll be able to compete in online multiplayer lobbies or host your own games and invite your pals. With practice mode available, you can also train against a variety of in-house monsters and hone your skills.
You’ll be able to rack up Knucklebones (our in-game currency) as you compete, unlocking a limited set of new monsters and abilities and booster upgrades along the way. We’re launching with three or four of our core race tracks which are a combination of multi-lap looped tracks and point-to-point sprints. However we’re planning on releasing additional tracks as we progress through to full release as well.
You will only be able to randomize the look of your monster at Early Access phase, with the goal being to bring full customisation once we release.

Having said all this, there will be some parts of the game that we are still working on and refining. So every now and then there could be something unexpected that happens that we are probably aware of and working on, but nevertheless feel free to let us know in the comments.'

'At this stage our plan is to have a smaller priced Early Access game and a higher priced premium title at full release. There will be an optional DLC pack of Premium Monsters that can be purchased separately should people want to buy these beauties. Early Access players will get full premium game access.'

Hoe zijn jullie van plan de community te betrekken bij het ontwikkelproces?

'MRL is a multiplayer game, so we’d like to plan some hosted games where we can all get together and battle it out. If we can play against the community and get real time feedback that would be great. Additionally we will have an active Steam and Discord community where we will ask and answer questions plus continually update everyone on updates and our path to full release.'

Gameplay - Driving Done Differently
Monster Racing League is not your usual racing game! In Monster Racing League the driving is streamlined and the focus is on combat. Select your monster and equip your abilities and boosters before each race. Control your position on the track and strategically play your offensive and defensive abilities against your monster rivals. Abilities have cooldown and recharge times so make sure you choose the right boosters for maximum impact! Master your racing skills with finer control using nitro, braking and steering (coming soon).

Get in on the action with races contested over short, multi rounds of mayhem with up to 10 players. The monster with the most points at the end takes home the glory! Rack up Knucklebones as you compete, unlocking new monsters and upgrades along the way.

Tracks
Monster Racing League is also about the tracks. With unique features and themes, each one is a wild ride of its own. Different tracks can match different monsters' abilities, strategies and play styles. So if you want to come out on top, you’ll need to learn the twists and turns of each one. Right now, there are two kinds of tracks, multi-lap loop tracks and point-to-point sprints, but lookout for some more hectic rides coming soon.

Streaming
Gear up for Monster Racing League! It's the perfect game for both spectators and streamers. Races are short and sweet and packed with non-stop action. In spectator mode (coming soon) you can use custom cameras to capture all the epic moments and share them with your audience. In-game monster taunts are perfect for fueling player rivalries and showboating on the track. Grab some friends and go for a burn, with multiplayer mode you can host your own races and stream to your heart's content!
