Miksi Early Access?

We would appreciate feedback from the players during the development in order to fix the detected flaws promptly, as well as to develop the game's community.

Several years. We plan to release the full version of one of the eight chapters in 2025, but at this stage, it is difficult to predict how long the production of the rest will take. It may go faster due to the existing materials being reused.

The full version will include all eight chapters available for purchase, and we will also add achievements, workshop and DLC with a variety of minor content. The game will be translated into more languages.

Currently, you can play Prologue and the first two days of the Destitute Chapter. That's about 7-8 hours of reading.

We plan to keep the base game with the Prologue free, but DLC with new chapters and bonus content will be paid.

Touhou: Fading Illusion is a visual novel set in Touhou Project universe that comprehensively describes Gensokyo and its inhabitants. Get ready to meet many of the series' iconic characters and travel to various locations in the Underworld, Gensokyo, Heaven, and even Outside World!

Synopsis:

They say curiosity killed the cat, but Yukari Yakumo didn't seem to know the saying. Her little experiment with the Hakurei Barrier had consequences that the youkai world was not prepared for. Gensokyo is shaken by a series of small and seemingly unrelated incidents, and eight groups of youkai and humans set out for investigation. None of them suspects what their actions might result in.

Game Features:

  • Suitable for people unfamiliar with Touhou Project! A brief introduction to the universe in the free Prologue and an extensive in-game dictionary will keep newcomers from getting lost.


  • Non-linear plot! You have access to many choices that can dramatically change the plot. Currently, you can play Prologue and the first two days of the Destitute Chapter. That's about 7-8 hours of reading.


  • Journey through the vast world of Touhou Project! Visit the Former Hell, Netherworld, various parts of Gensokyo and even beyond!


  • Over 50 characters from Touhou Project series! You will definitely find someone you'll like.
