What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“For players to provide feedback on what content they would like to see more of. Particularly different game modes beyond PvE.

To help test and improve the online aspect of the game.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“About a year.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Additional game modes, heroes, and maps.

Please let me know if you would be interested in the following game modes:
- A variation of the current PvE mode that is PvP
- A PvP 1vsAll where the singular player is a powerful villain. Destroy all the structures granting him power, then defeat him in a final battle. Should this mode be winnable by the villain, or should it be a question of how long can they hold out?
- A PvP mode similar to the game Crawl, where defeated players turn into enemy monsters, and must defeat other players to take over their human form.
- A PvE where players are given a randomized hero after every death.
- A sandbox mode where the host can spawn waves whenever they like.
- An option where any players that join mid-match are not given a particular team to start. Any defeated played will join the team that defeated them.
- a PvP capture the flag mode

I would also like to include unlockable heroes and abilities that the player can gain through obtaining specific achievements, or in game quests.

Full version will include build pads where the player can build defensive buildings, a potion shop, a passive income generator, and more.

Would you like some sort of spectating mode? Would you like a way to mod the game? Please let me know all of these so I know what direction to take the game.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“One game mode available: Online coop play available for up to five players on a single map. Single player is also viable, but the game difficulty does not adjust for number of players. Five heroes are available with three kinds of weapons: Sword & Shield, Crossbow, and Magic Staff. Ten additional special abilities are available from the following categories AOE, movement, single target, and summons. Five difficulties are available: Very easy, easy, normal, hard, and very hard.

Players can upgrade their hero's abilities, and stats. Their army can also be upgraded. These upgrades are per match, and heroes restart to base level when they join/create a new match.

Matches last approximately one hour. They are won by defeating the boss at the end of the map. Before that you will battle down lanes and crush enemy outposts along the way.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The majority of the game will be free to play. Anything free in Early Access will remain free upon full release. Any purchasable content during early access will be the same price upon release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Players can provide feedback primarily on the Discord server to discuss new features. The Steam Community is also available for feedback.

Listening to feedback with an emphasis on new game modes, new heroes, new abilities, and new maps. See "How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?" to see ideas I am interested in implementing, or feel free to suggest something new.”
