About This Game

A missing film crew. A desolate Moorland.

Can you solve the mystery?

Cradlemoor is a Cinematic multi-layered narrative Videogame set on Dartmoor that features full motion video and gives you access to a virtual toybox of evidence and found footage, as you explore the mystery of a film crew that vanished in 2013.

Set in the fictional Dartmoor village of Cradlemoor, the game casts you as a journalist who receives a mysterious USB drive containing vital information about a film crew that vanished in 2013. In a persistent narrative that takes place across multiple playthroughs, you will be able to explore the lore and events that surround this mystery, slowly piecing together clues and discovering the truth surrounding the case.

Sharing DNA with games like Her Story and shows like Twin Peaks – Cradlemoor is aimed at both traditional and non-traditional gamers and offers a rich multi-branching story via files, photos, audio clips and hours of cinematic film footage all shot on location in the English countryside.

Immerse yourself in a wealth of authentic police files, letters, film clips and documents or simply follow the main narrative. Rather than dictating answers, the game encourages players to interpret the story in their own way, allowing the wider narrative to be explored inside the imagination, discovering threads, solving mysteries and unraveling the unknown.

This game is currently being developed by a small team based in Devon, England thanks to a Research and Development grant from the Arts Council England and will launch into early access in early 2024.
