Varför Early Access?

“Wantless is a very complex game with literally tens of thousands of potential handcrafted abilities, and we are planning to add even more. Balancing content at this scale takes time and feedback, and there's no better way of getting it right than to build it with the community's experience. Moreover, we have tons of ideas we'd like to add to the game, and working with our players is the optimal way to craft the best version of Wantless.”

“We have an estimated timeline of 1 year. Depending on the feedback, the Early Access period might be changed.”

“We plan to add more a lot more content - that is new unique patients, rewards, enemies, biomes, endgame challenges, progression systems and achievements - localization, and complete the storyline.”

“We are at the start of the Early Access, and some of the planned features have yet to be implemented. Still, the core loop is entirely available, as well as a sizeable part of the final product's content. The key features of the game: dynamic action point system, patient’s stability, skill crafting, mind tree, numerous enemies & bosses and the beginning of main story line are implemented for the players to discover and enjoy.”

“We will increase the price toward the end of the Early Access to reflect the complete, more polished state of the game. We will communicate about this topic in advance of course!”

“We have a discord server to talk to our players directly, and we plan to setup a way to collect community feedback. We’ll adjust the scope of our updates to include the community's best ideas and address their feedback. We’ll also engage on Twitter and Steam discussion to keep our community updated and included.”

In Wantless, you play as Eiris, one of the last remaining Transposers - doctors who can delve into their patients' tortured minds to alleviate their torments, erase memories, or even more...

Confront horrors made manifest, woes and sinister thoughts in this fast-paced and challenging Tactical RPG. Forge your skills, shape your build and engage in ruthless combat as you sail through the ghost metropolis and explore your patients' stories in a series of runs.



You start your turn with 8 Action points but spending one grants it to each enemy. The more you act, the more your opponents will react! Thankfully, eliminating your foes also grants you action points, allowing for potentially devastating turns for you…or against you.

You will learn to fear what lurks inside the mind. These vicious manifestations pack an impressive array of ways to kill you. To even the odds you will have to thoughtfully use your environment. From carefully placed explosives to pools of toxic poison, the terrain plays a crucial role in this unforgiving tactical combat.



In Wantless, the fight does not take place on a battlefield, but within the subconscious of your patients. Proceed with caution, safeguard key memories and avoid instability at all costs. Failing to do so will empower the creatures or even modify the whole map.



Use the synapses you've collected during your runs to craft your skills, experimenting with effects, shapes, costs and cooldowns! Combine damage, ailments, buffs, environmental effects, utility and more to create impressive combos. With 100+ synapses available, create a truly personalized build.

Shape Eiris further by navigating the intricate Mind Tree, with more than 170 perks to choose from. However, be mindful of your choices, as the more powerful the nodes, the greater the drawbacks.



Most patients and their traits are randomly generated, leading to endless possibilities. As you progress you may encounter special unique patients, with their distinct story, twists and enemies, pushing your builds to the limit.
