Why Early Access?

“We’ve been developing The Devil Within: Satgat as a return-to-form for platformers, blending traditional side-scrolling elements with modern close-combat mechanics.

After our demo launch in June 2023, the community has given plenty of positive feedback and constructive criticism through a variety of channels. All the feedback that we received helped re-shape the platforming aspects, refine the combat mechanics, and more.

We decided to launch into Early Access because we know that continued community involvement is vital to making The Devil Within: Satgat the best that it can possibly be.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect the early access period to last from 9-12 months. During Early Access, we will be updating the game with new content as well as actively improving the game.

Depending on the progress of development and the feedback we receive from the community, the timeline of Early Access may be adjusted slightly.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to keep updating during early access with additional content, including:
  • New massive stages fitted with unique enemies and bosses, adding to the story with each stage.
  • New swords, guns, costumes and more items for you to collect.
  • New skills and artifacts that will augment your gameplay.
  • Ability to revisit stages in order to obtain all of your collectibles.
  • Continue refining and tuning the game with community feedback.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“We feel that after having worked on The Devil Within: Satgat and reviewing feedback from the demo, the Early Access version will be a great start for players to begin their journey.

The initial release includes:
  • 3 massive stages, all with unique enemies and bosses.
  • An arsenal of skills for you to learn and weave into your combat.
  • A variety of unlockables for you to find and use, ranging from weapons, costumes, and more.

The game will continue to be updated with additional content over the period of Early Access.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We may increase the price at full release based on the new content added – all the more reason to get in now!”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Since the first demo, we know from experience just how vital the community is for The Devil Within: Satgat. We will continue to collect player feedback and suggestions through the official Discord, Steam forums, as well as via social media.

About This Game

The Ebon Sting, a foreboding black tower of unknown origin, arrived mysteriously and altered the formerly tranquil world forever. At first, the Crimson Oil that seeped from the tower seemed to bring prosperity, but soon after, demonic entities appeared and over half of the population began to display unusual symptoms. The remaining citizens recognized that the Ebon Sting was responsible for the abnormalities and turned to General Hong Sang and Royal Guard Kim Rip, who embarked on a mission to eliminate the source at the tower's core.
