Why Early Access?

“Retro Gadgets is a cozy environment where to build and share Gadgets. We have been working on the game for a couple of years and we believe we reached a point where it has enough features to be a great creative experience.

However, a game like this REALLY needs community feedback to evolve in the right direction, and we think Early Access is a great opportunity to do so.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Until we are happy and confident with the features included in the game. Ideally about one year, but this could change.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The complete version will have more features, more content, and be better polished.

We want to add modules, content creation tools, and the ability to generate content from retro gadgets that you can use independently on your computer.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“You can build gadgets, paint them and code them. You can also share them with the community. The basic features are there. We have a pixel art editor but we are missing tools for the creation of audio. We also want to improve the game's capability to import and export content.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Our current plan is to increase the price of the game once the Early Access is complete. People that choose to support us early in development will get the game at a reduced price.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback will be invaluable to help us build better tools for Gadget Creation. We have set up a community discord where we will be gathering feedback and interacting with the players on a day-to-day basis. You can join the Discord here”
