Miksi Early Access?

Complex Sky already has its core gameplay and features in place, and the game is well-polished and stable. It’s time to get the community involved, as we want to tinker the game to be an enjoyable experience for both hardcore city builder fans and a more general indie game audience.

Miten kauan peli tulee arviolta olemaan Early Access -vaiheessa?

In order to perfect both the content and the quality of the game, we estimate that Complex Sky needs to spend two to three years in Early Access. During that time we will regularly introduce substantial updates to the game, as well as keep the players in the loop regarding development plans.

Millä tavoin lopullinen versio tulee eroamaan Early Access -versiosta?

The full version of Complex Sky will have more late-game content, such as the expansion and upgrades of the building and research mechanics, which will allow for more replayability. The game will also have a sandbox mode, procedurally generated quests, and a more in-depth story.

Mikä on Early Access -version tila tällä hetkellä?

Currently, Complex Sky provides a stable experience, with most of the fundamental mechanics and core gameplay in place. An average playthrough takes 2-3 hours with a good amount of replayability.

Muuttuuko pelin hinta Early Access -vaiheen jälkeen?

Complex Sky will have a ton more content in the full release, so our current plan is to raise the price once, as the game leaves Early Access. Should the plan change, we’ll make sure to inform our current and potential community members in advance.

The direction of the development will be in part shaped by players’ feedback and the discussion with the community.

Complex Sky is a game with a lot of mechanical depth, and we appreciate both the help of our more hardcore players in getting the balance and the mechanics just right, and the feedback from players with less city builder experience, which will allow us to make the game more accessible.

To both ends, we plan to keep open communication with our players through our Discord server and Steam forums, as well as to conduct regular polls on the game’s balance and accessibility.

Create a world, unrestricted by gravity. Unite buildings into wondrous formations, gather resources, create production chains and develop the world’s ecosystems - all to build a fully automated, self-sustainable city among the skies.

Created by a solo developer, COMPLEX SKY is a genre-blending mix of city-building gameplay with puzzle and strategy elements.



Build beautiful, gravity-defying landscapes: Stack structures on top of each other and create a city unlike any other! The city is your oyster: create your own style!



Once you run out of space, flip the whole city upside down and continue building, using the game’s unique vertical architecture system. Keep your city running by supplying buildings with water and electricity. Time to put your engineer hard hat on!



Choose a tech corporation to headline the Complex SKY project - each with their own traits, advantages and drawbacks. Keep the perfect balance between the well-being of your citizens and industrial might and utilize all the perks of your corporation to the max.



Scientists, Workers and Operators will populate your Utopia, and their well-being is key to the prosperity of your city. Fulfill their needs and get access to advanced technology and building schematics. Create your own technocratic paradise!



Set up supply chains, and grow and optimize them to ensure the steady growth of your city. Start by mining rock and coal and progress to developing experimental composite materials.



Choose from a story-based CHALLENGE mode and a free-range SANDBOX. Want to test your skills further? Spice it up with the custom difficulty setting and see how far you can get in an unforgiving environment.



Complex SKY is presented in a strikingly minimalistic art style,which is further enhanced by a playful, upbeat soundtrack.
